Big Finish Games really needs to break into the Facebook App world... People like Zynga and others are making killings on people dropping money on these App Games... I do hope they are working on something...
If Mark Pincus can do it, surely Aaron Connors and Chris Jones can...

I'd like to think that TM actually has a home in the digital gaming application market like tablets, iPhones and iPods rather than a social networking side-dish. I don't have Facebook so i'm not sure just how those apps work, but given the eclectic range of games available on iTunes via mobile device, there's certainly room for a game like TM.
Yeah Tex should really focus more on Tablet devices, as it seems most ideal for the gameplay that Tex's design tends to be about- actually I'd argue it'd probably work better than even a mouse and keyboard would.
As for facebook, nope, don't even go there. Not even Richard Garriot can make it work. The bubble has burst, Zynga and PopCap have monopolies over it... fork them.

I didn't specifically say Tex Murphy should be a Facebook App Game, I just said that Big Finish should get into the whole Facebook App era... They may not blowup and become Zynga, but I still think they could pump some revenue from having a couple of apps on Facebook...

Yep, we're suggesting that the market is tainted and not worth going into. I just got away from Facebook apps, I have no intention of ever going back to it. Mobile has more potential, the Tablet fad will go along way for the next 2-3 years, Mobile I'd argue is slowing down due to the creation of tablets. But most of all Portable gaming is the biggest winner of the lot, its due to the fact that they're more about buttons- I'm surprised more people haven't jumped on the PS-Play idea where you have a Phone/Tablet with a popout controller (not to be confused with Razer's latest monstrosity that just has twiddle sticks stuck on.. do they honestly expect people to lug that around?!)We know.
A game like tex I reckon was made for Tablets. At the very least Chris and Aaron should look into a port. (What'd be amazing is if they still had the original art assets, so a "HD" version could be done- instead of a poorly upscaled version of their games).
Also I've actually run Tex Murphy on my phone, DosBox works with Android and IOS(jailbroken).. the only problem is that the controls are really bad. The games playable though.
+ 1.

Although Aaron isn't a fan of altering old work, but i've always been in favour of polishing the graphics up. Keep the controls and interface as they are but some colour restoration, added rendering and enhanced sound is certainly welcome. To me that wouldn't take away from the charm of the originals. It would simply enhance them.
What would be really interesting is if they re-launched on the digital handheld gaming market through Nintendo (DSi Ware) and Sony (Playstation Store). These online distributors attract a lot of independent developers. Best of all, they wouldn't have to release the games in one great slab, they could release them episodically (as in, Day 1, Day 2 etc...) so the downloads aren't too demanding on the 3DS or PSVita.
