The Old Board

Jen wrote: Well, I ran such an experiment on a much smaller scale. I combed through and messaged a few folks (from this board) that have been inactive for a long time, but ones I felt comfortable reaching out to, Atomic Veggie, Alex Bark, Thomas Malloy, Harry of Brooklyn, Gypsy Pernell, etc. Some got the message and got in contact, but there are several that are sitting in my outbox, not delivered or read. 8( I tried email options first, and then PM if there was no email. If the inactive visitors either disabled email notifications, or no longer use the email address tied to the board, it's a loss.
And that's why I'm here again!

HURRAY!!!!! :D
Welcome back!
Yeah, I'm still around. But lurking is what I do best :-)

And oh yeah, the board said that I joined 8/27/02. I don't think thats right because I think I was on the board before that one, and I also moon lighted at the texmurphy.com board. Ah, those were the days.

When I went on SS I became a lurker because it's easier than thinking and posting. Besides, you youngsters are the best suited for tekky stuff and comiserating. However, I AM and always will be a die hard Tex fan. Remember this? "Keep the faith!"

Your wit and insight are missed, but it's good to know you are keeping your eye on us.

Big Hugs!
Jen
Jim, you'll always have a special place in my heart for sending me the DVD version of Overseer!

Wait, did I say "feel like"? I meant I totally am a huge n00b.
Funny how we've all progressed in our individual lives, but will always find a way back here.

Speaking of which, glad to see you keeping an eye out Jim. You were the very first Tex Murphy fan to say g'day way back when I first signed up at TexMurphy.com, and I've never forgotten!

Wow, I signed-up at the old board in October 2000! Here's my 'Ask Aaron' thread:

Wow, that "Ask Aaron" subforum is a treasure trove :)

Yeah Aaron really took his time to answer questions. I've always been impressed at how in touch Aaron and Chris have been with the community over the years.

I really enjoyed the Q and A live webchat I got to join (back then I was called Ruri on the old ezboard). Very fun and friendly whilst still being really informative. You can see it here in the Chat Logs section edited to remove the idle chat (e.g. I remember some inbetween comments I made like how Roswell creeped me out as a kid  ). Wow it's really been nearly 8 years since then?

I hope how dedicated and personable they are convinces people during the Kickstarter campaign who are unfamiliar with the guys behind Big Finish that they're here to stay and see things through! :)

I was just over at Ask Aaron right now and read a hilarious tech support story. One of the callers for Martian Memorandum asked which character was Martin.
