I think the amount is not that high all considered. LSL asked for 500k and got it. And this game will have live actors, 3D environments. multiple endings, and more. Not to mention being a completely new game in the series. So they're being conservative I think, though I'm also glad they said these days they feel they can do things much easier that were previously difficult so that sounds promising that even though its lower than the budget the previous games had, they may still be able to make this game far better on this kind of budget. I hope however they can surpass the goal so that they can get the known actors they wanted and more content and such to really expand the game. But of course reaching the goal is top priority now and everything else is the icing.

The Kickstarter will be much easier to promote once we have a real working URL to give to people

I know what you mean Tex deserves to be a much BIGGER name out there!

Still on the flipside many people say that Jane's backers are higher than average because they're passionate. I think I would consider the Tex fanbase passionate too so we might have similar luck.

One can only hope. And wait....

I just hope the word has gotten out there to enough people. Because there's old foggies like me who don't visit any of the gaming forums, and might not have seen the message. That was my hope for some of the Ads. Between Google and FB they got 345 clicks, and hundreds of thousands of views.

Hey everyone!

Thanks for tuning in. I hope I got the majority of everyone's questions answered, and I apologize to the people that got ads and the decline of Mr. Jones' voice near the end of the interview. Skype was working perfectly when we performed tests last night but there must have been some gunk in teh tubez this evening. I don't actually serve any of the ads or collect any revenue from them, that's all on U-Stream. Lesson learned, the next time I have an icon on the show I need to dig into my pocket and keep them from throwing ads at us!

Long time fan of tex from Australia here, first time posting (actually first time posting on a forum believe it or not) just wanted to know if anyone knew the start time of the kickstarter and what that is for Australian time? I couldn't access the podcast so am in the dark also if anyone wanted to do a quick summary of what was discussed that would be hugely appreciated!

Also re: their target... Remember there is always the ability to go over the target... by a significant margin. I think they wanted a balance between being conservative, and being optimistic.
