RetroNick Radio - Episode 7: Tex Murphy Live!

Sorry for the delay! Tightened up the podcast and threw it out into the ether for everyone to indulge in.

Sadly, there wasn't a ton I could do with the degrading digital break up of Chris's voice over Skype and he sounds more like Tex's fax machine than Tex in places... Regardless, I was ecstatic that I got to speak with the man and that people were able to hear him answer their questions himself. If there's an audiophile among you who thinks they can do something with Chris's voice, I'll give you the big, fat wav file and you can go nuts with it.

Thanks again for tuning in!

Great job, Nick :)

As a suggestion, is there a way we can submit this to Chris so they can upload it to the Kickstarter page for streaming? Your questions provided a great insight to the coming project, its past, roots and origins of Tex. It's kind of like a really big FAQ.

Thanks!

I'm sending him a link to the episode now, let me see if it's something they'd be interested in. My only worry is that it may seem a touch, "over-indulgent" on my part if I come out and ask him, but we'll see what he says. You might want to drop the suggestion in the Big Finish Games contact form too if you think this is something that can really help build awareness.

It's really just a means to give potential pledgers more to chew on. If I find time I'd be happy to listen to the interview and pick out some questions & answers from the interview then type them out and submit them for the FAQ? There's none there yet.

I just ran it by him! We'll see what he wants to do and I'll keep you posted. Very excited to see this thing lift off the ground!

The interview was awesome RetroNick. It answered a lot of questions people had and great info on the direction they are wishing tot ake the game in. I agree that some of the questions and answers from it should go on the Kickstarter page. As well as some other bits and pieces that were revealed in their other interviews elsewhere. For example some have asked on the backer comments if certain actors will reprise their roles e.g. Chelsee amongst other questions which have already been confirmed in interviews or in comments from the staff and cast.

It is a awful shame about the technical difficulties. It was kind of like a Robo Tex at some points. So though the interview itself was stellar I think transcribing some of it as a text-based Q and A would probably be better for the actual Kickstarter.

They stated they are working on a FAQ so now is certainly a good time to pass on such an idea.

Thanks again Nick.
And my fingers are totally crossed that they keep the "You have a fax" voice in the new game.
