Adventure-Treff guest column #4: Aaron Conners
I promised it to you and here it is. After our interview with Chris, we also gave Aaron a platform to speak his mind in our new guest column series. The article is called "The Rise, Fall and Resurrection of FMV". Hope you'll enjoy it!

Great article. Very well written points on the pros and cons that aren't a rehash of whats already been said elsewhere. I'd of been interested to hear after the bit talking about the limitations they found with UAKM how PD and Overseer overcame these. But overall great read.
Personally I enjoyed the FMV games I played so I don't have a negative opinion of them. I thought the acting and story was great in Black Dahlia, Toonstruck and others. Sometimes they had some laughable moments but they tended to be the times when they were intentionally not taking themself too seriously such as in Gabriel Knight 2. But I did see what other games I was lucky to miss in online series like "FMV Hell" and so I understand the bad reputation that sadly shadowed over all the great ones. Glad Aaron can put into words what sets them apart.

They were my favourite FMV games for sure and top of the listjoliet_jane wrote:I still believe that the Tex Murphy games were the only ones that figured out how to make FMV work. As in, they were literally the only truly great FMV games.
