Will Tex smoke in the upcoming game?

If he is I'm afraid I won't be able to support this game.
I will be greatly offended if Tex lights up.
I'd also appreciate it if Tex only eats organic foods from now on.
I'd also hope that Chris and Aaron have Tex flying an electric speeder.
Thank you.

Wow... really? Come on, smoking gives me migraines and I think it's a bad habit, but really? I couldn't imagine a noir period anything without someone smoking in it. It isn't like the smoke is going to come out of the screen or suddenly watching someone smoke is going to make you smoke. *shakes his head in disbelief*
This is my transcription from the RetroNick interview here:Will Tex smoke in the next game?
Chris Jones: If he does he'll probably end up swallowing his cigarette again like in "Under A Killing Moon". I don't know if we'll actually see it, but we do want to make sure we incorporate enough of the noir elements for people to feel like they are stepping into that type of world. If it is included it will probably be in a funny negative way if we feel it'd contribute to the humor of a scene rather than a re-inforcement.

_______________[spoiler]

I really hope we see an appearance of it. The concept of political correctness is well and truly deceased. This was something Daniel Craig alluded to when being interviewed after he was cast as 007 where he was bemused at the fact that the writers were more than happy to have Bond wield a machine gun rifle and open fire on anyone that gets in his way but it was out of the question to have him smoke at the poker table.

Hi Tuco,
I think I remember right that from old interview I did with Chris Jones (Tex Murphy) from 10-13 years ago that he himself is a non-smoker and non-alcohol drinker in real life.
I know there's a wide range of celebrities that are nonsmokers in real life and use fake cigarette or fake alcohol beverage in filming. Most of filming is easier to fake this short of thing because its not strictly realistic, and I assume entertainment industry has strict policy on that that could effect $$$ cost or something along the line if they mess up their lines or being too drunk from previous night from a night club or event that could ruin their contract agreement, not staying focus with costars, directors, producers, and get fine or penalization that could cost either actor or actress thousands of $$$ from their own pocket for the mistake they made on them-self when trying to a film a movie or TV series. Also, could push back filming release date as they must find replacement cast and lose more $$$ during the setback as they must make deadline since they got other filming projects to do as well.
I think Adrian Carr could probably tell you better about how camera works on fake cigarettes and fake alcohol beverage when celebrities perform on camera. I could be wrong, they probably are using herbal cigarette in the entertainment industry for filming instead of using a real cigarette as its closely resemble to a real one since its harmless, right? I am not a smoker but curious if that's what they are using in filming and on stage 99.9% of the time?

Well times have changed, and I doubt that there will be any smoking. Or drinking. We have to protect all the young, who run around in games and slaughter anything in sight. Would not have them exposed to someone lighting up. Come to think about it, there is hardly any smoking in the games anyway. Bit of PI breakfast and so on. It is not like an old Bogart movie (who, incedently is hard to keep up with, smokingwise I mean).
I think I recall Aaron saying that Chris doesn't smoke but there is I e scene where he had to inhale because it was part of the scene. I think it was TPD. Chris did it, but let's see how it works out for the story or feel of the game. Don't forget in this wid they cured cancer (see NSFV Ep 2).
