Reddit, how's it work?

I went to the reddit site and looked around and well, I just don't get it... it just looks like a Digg clone. How and where will we be asking questions? Anyone with some insight? Thanks.
I know. It looks like a mess of links that lead to crappy memes and stuff. I already have facebook for that crap. I also go to a pretty good BBS (not just this one, some other one) that gives me news, decent users, and posts with actual bloody content.

I guess I'm either too old to too lazy to care. Probably both. :?
But I'll look at it for Tex's sake.

Similar concept to Digg yeah.
  • When the Reddit Question and Answer page goes up there will be a post at the top from "BigFinishOfficial" stating who they are with proof.
  • Underneath that will be a big comment box with a "Save" button for you to write in and post a question.
  • It'll appear below everyone elses question down the page.
  • When BigFinishOfficial replies with an answer (or someone else replies just to comment) it'll be indented e.g.

    ...................... Ecstatic!!
  • If you want to reply to someone else there is a little Reply link under each post.
Here's an example with the LeisureSuitLarry Kickstarter Reddit thing:

Many will link to it when the page goes up but also it'll be linked in Upcoming IAMAs (the box on the far right where it says Chris Jones, the date will be replaced with a link as has been done with the top two)

Excellent.
For those who just want to read the Questions and Answers without a mess of other comments then someone seems to be compiling them together here:

Well, they answered one of my questions.

Q: With regards to the engine, you've admitted that the engines used in UKAM/PD/Overseer each had their own issues and that you wish to obviously rectify that. Now that First Person Shooters, as compared to the 1990s, are more versatile in their ability to immerse the player and tell stories, such as Deus Ex, is it possible to have an adventure game on an FPS engine with an unarmed protagonist? With NPCs added, Chandler Avenue could be so much more immersive not to mention the free roaming aspect of it. Once again, see Deus Ex.

A:It is possible and it's pretty likely we'll end up using an engine that could also be used for an FPS. But our game, of course, will not be an FPS.
i wonder what kind of movement style will be incorporated this time...
you know, previously it was smooth floating feel and it`s good for exploration, but first person heroes don`t walk like that anymore
will there be some tilting and more grounded feel in movement, like in modern fps or it will be true to old-school?
that`s the related question i`m not sure will be answered, so double posted here for your consideration

I suppose the jury is still out on that part of the game, which makes sense. Although they were experimenting with an engine, but i'd say they need to sort out who their programming staff are and the talents they possess to have any finality on the matter.
Given the massive number of gamers on smartphones and tablets, what made you decide not to

We haven't actually decided that yet. We'll start with PC and go from there.
Aaron and Chris, Will Doug Vandegrift get more than just the one role (Rook) in the Fedora game? It might be neat to have DV play Rook's long-lost brother, who is witty, charming and loaded, perhaps? (In other words, everything that Rook isn't.)

[–]BigFinishOfficial[S] 8 points 37 minutes ago
That is hilarious.
Unfortunately, Chris and Aaron have already decided to limit Doug's on-screen time to one role with very few lines of dialogue. In fact, Rook may be a mime.

Ow didn't know he also played beek nariz and sal lucido funny.

He will be happy to know that you thought he was funny. That makes three of you.
Just kidding, Doug.

So, no return for a re-animated Hitler, then?

We would make a joke about Hitler, but we never make jokes about Hitler.
Do you think they'll go back and answer ones they missed later? I know they responded to jen they dont mind reposts though.... but I feel kinda bad if I repost and others before me get missed... and reposts are going to get pretty messy (in addition to the already emssyness of Reddit lol). Do they know they can just go to the mainpage link to catch the ones they miss in the "queue"?
Thanks for reposting. If we hit any accidental buttons, it drops all the questions out of the queue, so if we missed your questions, please resubmit.
