A few years ago, during the dark ages when here was no prospect of Tex Murphy ever returning, this forum was host to a whole series of bizarre events and characters. One of those was Dr. X, a character whom came here to inform us of a conspiracy being driven by Microsoft to prevent Tex ever returning. The whole thing was quite odd but not without its humour. Dr. X eventually went into exile with one promise only; if Tex returned, his true identity would be revealed. Well, it's now my duty to announce that Dr. X was indeed myself.
I was 16 at the time so I hope you can forgive my past misdemeanor, but I have gone on to be a better community member since. However, I cannot vouch for Kator. I had nothing to do with that character nor do I know the identity of that person. That enigma threw me as much as it did you.

It was a really nutty time. This was back in the day where you didn't even need to register to be a user here. I think I was aboout 16 when all this happened.

Is Cub going to confess he is actually Chris Jones, which explains why he knows so much about project fedora, and that all the previous times he has used a picture of himself on the board or online it has been of some random person whom he has chosen to represent him!?
