and while I'm at it

where did the Nilo's Place website go?
I live in my world, it's ok, they know me here
Sadly qute a few of the Tex based websites went away over the years. I think it may be due to the awsomeness of James's updates and how everyone came together more and more here as the official unoffical place to be. But its all workeing out pretty weel in the end :D

The man that use to run it, simply known as Nilo here on the boards, had a health scare a few years back... This health scare opened his eyes to what he felt was more important... He sold his business and now enjoys spending high quality time with his children and grandchildren, as well as other family and friends... He entrusted his site to someone else and that person ran it for about a year and then it went offline and has yet to resurface...

I've sent Nilo a few emails over the years, but it has been quite sometime since I've gotten a reply... Hopefully he is enjoying his time with his loved ones...

Once news of Tex's revival reaches him maybe we'll see him revisit the message board...

I know I miss using the website for quick reference of this or that from time to time... I would have taken over hosting it if I had known the person doing so was considering taking it down...

Oh, man, do I remember all of those other Tex Murphy sites! How I miss them. Maybe they will resurrect along with Tex?!?! One can only hope.

I'm hoping to bring back Alcatraz. But I have to look into mondernizing it, hosting, domain, etc. I still have the website on my computer, so I just have to convert it to something that doesn't look like it's from the 90s :)

Same thing here. Web sites don't age gracefully that's for sure :) I remember when I changed my site design to the tex interface and it was great as long as you viewed it at 800x600. Now with fullHD monitors, I don't even want to imagine what it would look like.
