How awesome is 2013 looking for Games?
2013 could be awesome if it's the year gamers declare they're tired of the same old stuff from the major console publishers.

BTW, Can't help but notice this joke: "EA: So here's the deal. Give us $50 now and you'll get free DLC by Christmas!"
Sounds a lot better than "Give us $150 now and you'll get free DLC at in a year or two, maybe, if our project works."
But it doesn't matter now, though.

There is something about it on gamespot i saw a while ago.
They are working on it.
Look up news articles concerning the game on gamespot..
i think it was an interview maybe.
here it is

also on the following link, if you look up half life 3, it states the release date is dec 31 2012 for episode 3.... course, this could be a misreporting of info.

I recall seeing The Last of Us being pushed back for a 2013 release as well. That game tickles my fancy.
'Course, that's all in the passenger seat now.

Pirates, vampires, zombies, ninjas, ghouls, aliens, goblins, monsters, robots, sorcerers, undead, werewolves, demons, mutated dinosaur-cyborgs and those pesky phone salesmen! The shotgun is a one-size-fits-all solution!
I was saying this to my mate last night, Indie games are the future of gaming for me. There isn't a single triple A title I'm looking forward to next year, it's all Indie titles.
After the disappointment that was Mass Effect 3 and Diablo 3 I'm so looking forward to next year and all the great games coming out from people who really care about game play and not huge corporate vultures who just want to sell me the same old game with a shiny new coat of paint.
Roll on 2013 I say.

Don't forget SpaceVenture!Joel wrote:We have Tex Murphy, possibly 2 new Jane Jensen Adventures, a new Tim Schafer Adventure, Al Lowe's remake of Leisure Suit Larry, new Bioshock game, Doom 4. Can we fast forward to then?
This is definitely going to be the most anticipated year for adventure games since their heyday. If these games deliver on their promise, my hope is that a few of them will do well enough to get publishers interested in making them a real part of the gaming landscape again, and in particular recognizing the value that these respected writers have as brands.
The Bioshock brand is bigger than Ken Levine. If they made one without him (which they did), people would still buy it. But adventure games are different. People will flock to a new Tim Schafer adventure even if it's a new IP, just because it's Tim Schafer. Adventure gamers want their favorite writers back, and now we got them, so I hope it stays that way.
As for big console games, well... I'm pumped for Dishonored mostly, but I think that's late 2012. I also really want Prey 2, but that's kind of in limbo right now.
You just better hope the Mayan weren't right this December

Also when you need a little break from all these epic games take some time out to escape to The Curse of Shadow House. Its looking very positive and now that it is funded looking forward to that and hopefully the two sequels in the trilogy. If you didn't back it already maybe when your wallets have recovered you can support by buying the game when it comes out?

Yeah, I keep thinking about this. What if it's all for nothing. What if we get funded, but then the planets align with black hole in our galaxy and rip the planet to shreds on December 23rd 2012... Is the Australian media over there conditioning you're people for the end too? We're getting a couple movies about it, one being a comedy. Oh well, I guess if we all *have* to die we might as well die laughing about it. Then you have the contingent of people who are all like "It's not real, chill out" ... they sound like the people who all died in the movie 2012. They didn't listen! WE DIDN'T LISTEN!Chris Marsland wrote:You just better hope the Mayan weren't right this December
But seriously, the world better not end. I will punch the big P.I. in the sky.
