Argh Doctor Who!

Yeah...Sixth Sense was ruined for me too, it was my assistant, and I did slap him mightily for it.
I totally forgot the whole JR thing, so that's my favorite part of the shirt. It's not like they are spoilers for this summers blockbusters. I always jokingly tell folks read at your own risk when I notice their gaze.
And Sai, that made me LOL!
I am not happy. They changed Doctors? Why? The guy who played him was a big reason I watched. I LIKED him. What did his contract run out? *kicks the dirt*

Well, I guess I'll keep watching. You said to remember Captain Jack, and the fact that Rose and the Doctor left him high and dry on the Satellite makes me think he'll return at some point, not to happy about it. I'll *try* to like the new guy. Still a good premise. I'm going to miss the real doctor though. He was a wonderful actor and made me believe in him.

Time to start Season 2 for me

Well thats Doctor Who for you, really. So far there have been 11 "Doctors", the Doctor for the reboot Season 1 was the 9th. That's how the show has remained as one of the longest running scifi shows (starting in the 1960s). There will be some actors you don't click with for the role and others you get to like. So far I think the ones I like are the more playful and wild ones like Tom Baker (70s - 80s), David Tennant (who you'll now be seeing) etc. Maybe Patrick Troughton (late 60s) too though haven't seen a lot of his episodes. But it is subjective, still many did like the next Doctor you'll see.

For me personally I really liked David Tennant as the 10th Doctor moreso than the 9th Doctor. Another person I watched with loved Eccleston though, but came to like David Tennant too.

As for if his contract ended, I think there was some mixed info about that. At the time the BBC and other news sites stated that he just didn't want to become typecasted as "The Doctor". But apparently sometime later Eccleston stated he actually had creative differences (putting it lightly):

However no actor remains in the role forever (since the show is literally infinite) and will eventually step down for different reasons. I think Tom Baker was the longest running doctor, for 7 seasons over 7 years. But even he stepped down eventually.
