A year ago today!

Can you guys believe it?? After way too many years, and "To Be Continued" the Tex Murphy - Project Fedora Kickstarter commenced a year ago today. The thrill! The uncertainty! The sleepless nights! The excitement! The lighter wallet! The F5 key!

I know I never could have imagined what this past year has held. The new friends; the new adventures; meeting Chris, Aaron, Adrian, Suzanne +the majority of the rest of the cast! And more importantly; meeting a bunch of you guys from UTM who I am now privileged to call true friends! Jen, Cub, Rockefeller, James & his lovely wife Sara, Sam & her husband BJ, Demonlawyer, Soullifter, Trillian & Mr. Fedora. And I hope to add more of you guys to the list! Ahh the memories, and so many more to come! Sorry to get all sappy on you guys...but funny as it may seem this has been a time in my life I will always treasure.  :D

It has been an amazing year. I had pretty much given up on hope of a new game. Then all of a sudden a new game was mentioned. It started as a whisper, increased to real talk, and ended up as a scream from the top of the lungs.

Not only did some of us get the thrill of meeting the big man himself, but we also hot to meet the incredible staff at Big Finish Games.

I always thought it would be nice to get together with other Tex fans. It was better than I ever imagined. Thanks to you all for being as cool in person as you are online.

Once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny.
Yes, one year ago today I found myself in a self-consigned state of abject poverty. Totally worth it, though.

I couldn't agree more - it really pushed loads of us to take the plunge and meet up face to face. It's been great getting to know some Tex fans over a drink or an evening with Mike Nesbitt! Long may these friendships continue.

Haha, I like to call him Nesmith ;-) And thank you SO much for coming to that show with me, David! Was very kind of you to come with me even though you had no idea what you were in for.

At least yours is self-consigned!

I don't have the means to give what a lot of you guys did or travel, but it's still been amazing seeing how fast this went from nothing but a dream we had all given up on and developed into a real game that is exceeding my expectations at every turn.

Could we be looking forward to the best Tex ever? The fact that that's even a question is something I couldn't have imagined asking a year ago.
I never gave up.

Pirates, vampires, zombies, ninjas, ghouls, aliens, goblins, monsters, robots, sorcerers, undead, werewolves, demons, mutated dinosaur-cyborgs and those pesky phone salesmen! The shotgun is a one-size-fits-all solution!
I always hoped, but this past year has been great. I can't wait for more to come and maybe to get to meet some of the UTM family in person.
A little scary to think it has been a year already!

While I got to meet a very limited (albeit quite great!) representatives of this here community, the race to the big finish has been a thrill in and by itself.

Beyond everything that has been said thus far in the past year, I must add I am truly happy to see a bunch of guys and gals at work on a project they truly believe in, and a chance to have some real artisans of this craft on the job. It has always been more than just a job for them, and re-visiting this series is a refreshing change from this cold AAA industry.

I'm looking forward to the game, of course, and hopefully a shot at a release (or post-release) gathering with a larger bunch of you fine fellas.

Awww Redcat. It's has been a blast, and I might add that meeting you and the rest of the gang in person was definitely a highlight and something I will remember and cherish for a very long time!

As for the rest of you, come hell or high water you are getting your asses to the premiere of this thing, and I'm sure we can pull together and make it happen; especially in light of various events regarding everyone's devoted chandler avenue troupe!

-Cub. =o)
Cathy, how funny! :? I even googled his name and still got it wrong! I've got those things I said I'd post to you ages ago - not forgotten but was waiting to get something else included for the end of the month and send in one batch. I'm also hoping to catch up with Mac again in the next few weeks so I might pass to him to send on.

Cub - I will definitely be there! It will be great to see as many people as can make it

Frank - it was great catching up when you came to London too - hope to catch up at the launch or next time you're in town. Meeting up with everyone has really shown what a great bunch there is on this board.

After seeing the latest video update, am even more stoked to play this game, not too much longer of a wait. And a release party sounds like a memorable time, count me in! A year already...how time flies
I remember I spent that whole month checking the forum and kickstarter everyday.

I took a month parental leave, so that made it even worse =P
I followed it like a hawk, and I still couldn't keep up with all the forum activity =P

Looking forward to the release and getting my boxed copy.

I will certainly be at the party....as long as its held australia..............lol
honestly I would dearly love to be there but it will have be by video link.

tex murphy is back in town
Well, who says there can't be multiple parties on the different continents? Tex has a big enough fan base. I'd like to be at ground-zero, SLC, and party like its 2043! Hopefully for that location there will something organized. :~)
