Actually no. Never did.
By the time I worked this puzzle part in the game, I realized the people making the game had done a rather impressively good job of putting it all together. The whole series of Tex games established and maintained a high standard of historical research/performance. The thorough knowledge/research of Mayan history allowed for suspenseful game play. Feel the same way about the associated history behind the other Tex games.
