NOOO!!! I got my dates screwed up!! Does anyone perhaps know about the interface during gameplay? I wonder if they are using the same Overseer type where you move the cursor to the sides to bring up the bars with options or if they are reverting to the original with the box style or if they are using a different one all together?

There aren't any firm details on the final interface, but considering it is going to have WASD movement controls, you can bet it will be unlike Overseer or Pandora/UAKM's interfaces as there almost certainly won't be a cursor. You will use the reticule instead.

If you're a backer, there was a post recently on the blog called "tapping the collective". In the form it linked to there was an image of what appears to be the "Look" reticule.
