Game - Can You Guess the Answer?
No S and no Y.
I was getting confused with some of the earlier hints - is it something that is obviously Tex related or is it something that just happens to co-exist in the Tex world? What I think I mean is that is it something we'll all think of as part of Tex's world (Llama cigarettes, one of the characters/locations) or is is just something that we've seen in the game that has no real bearing on anything like an inventory item (like a battery or a pen)?

Well darn. I had some trivial hints lined up to help narrow down the number of characters of the answer. Hammerhead is your winner!!
So let's go over the solution.
Hint #1 "What is first but also last?" In horoscopes if you look at Capricorn you'll see that it runs through December 22nd through January 19th. We were in the answer for the majority of this game!
Capricorn is first in the sense that it runs through the first month of the year and last in the sense that in runs through the last month of the year. I also fittingly found one Plumgas's posts hilarious.
Hint #2 "What I'm thinking of is kind of a homonym. It's something that's has a prominent meaning in Tex's world, but has a more prominent meaning elsewhere."
The primary meaning in Tex's world is the agency, yet the horoscopes still exist in his world, as seen in dialogue in Overseer. The more prominent meaning elsewhere refers to horoscopes.
Hint #3 - "The more prominent usage of the answer, where something is first and also last, occurs outside of Tex's world."
Horoscopes
Hint #4 - "The answer is not in one game."
UAKM, Overseer, and 3 Cards
Hint #5 - "I would classify the answer as being a homograph, at least in terms of letters."
We've already discussed the homonym aspect. However this threw me in answering Aaron, because in Overseer I think there may have been a time or times where Capricorn is referred to as C.A.P.R.I.C.O.R.N.
Hint #6 - No S
Hint #7 - No Y

And Fred, I am sorry if it rubbed me up the wrong way - perhaps those things are not particularly brilliant bedfellows. I found your post perhaps a tad patronising - and reading back, I still do a little.
But then that is my problem and I am sorry for being overly scratchy. I know it doesn't touch your life but I hope you'll accept my apology.

Frewella, you've just got to get used to Fred's snarky sense of humor.
I usually disregard half of what he says. Fred is best interpreted through a skip code.
Haha Sam, good advice. I'll use that skip code from now on
