Tesla Effect - Public DEMO now available on Steam!

okay I installed the demo on a fresh win 7 install & steam does install direct x as a first time setup, so if you are still getting the green screen its your video card. The only green screen I got was on my surface pro which also had nothing else on the system with only on board graffics but the manual install fixed that. in the steam folder/steam apps/common/tesla effect/ common restrib - there is the direct x file to install if it doesn't install automatically.

Pleasure :) Loving the game. Chris was right, they're definitely delivery the true Tex experience. Just up to the morlock valve puzzle. Might stop here for now and continue tomorrow. Runs really well on my PC, full spec.
I'm having the green screen problem and have tried all suggestions I could find on the boards here and at BigFinish. I've separately installed the Directx 9.0c (June 2010). I've updated my drivers. It's a Toshiba Satellite laptop with Intel 6400 integrated graphics bought within the last year. It wouldn't let me install drivers off of Intel's website, it said I had to go download the Toshiba Satellite drivers specific to my laptop, so I did that. I am running Windows 8.0. I can play the videos using RAD tools. It's not NVIDIA so that fix won't work for me.

Anyone have any more ideas?
It is really shame, I am waiting for new Tex game for plenty of years and when demo of new adventure is available I am on my dream vacation and I will not be back before end of April.
I wish you to all of you to enjoy the DEMO, I will do it too after my return, if physical copy of full game will not await me in the post.
There seems to be a trend with this "green screen": Intel integrated graphics cards. I suspect they are not very compatible with Tesla Effect.
I'm using nvidia and experiencing the same thing. It's a problem from bigfinish. There's a thread on steam about it too http://steamcommunity.com/app/261510/di ... 493809498/
I got it working on my 4 year old laptop with no issues which also has integrated graphics. Unfortunately I have to run it on minimum graphics settings to get the in-game engine part to be playable. The old laptop is Windows 7, so perhaps it could also be Windows 8 related?

Have you tried to make sure the game is set to use your Nvidia card and is not instead using the on board graphics? That has been the problem with quite a few people, it seems. A few posts in this thread mentioned how to fix it.

I'm on Windows 8.1 and not a single problem running the game. It was flawless for me.
I only have one graphics card

What machine do you have?
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU 760 @ 2.80GHz, nvidia geforce gt 240, 8gb ram.
What's your motherboard? Almost all of them these days have on board graphics. You should really try setting the game up in the Nvidia control panel. It can't hurt.
