Countdown to "where's my code I want it now waaaa"

steve has also stated the are DMR free codes , steam doesn't govern the DRM the developer does.

Uh-oh... GOG is no longer claiming I own Tesla Effect (from the beta key), I still have the game in inventory but it's possible it won't magically become a butterfly when the time comes and will simply stay a beta.

This answer will not make the psycho anti-Steam people happy. There WILL be a $#it-show of unhappy people if they don't offer an alternative.
Joel wrote:Unhappy though they may be i'm sure they'd much rather get access to the game on Day 1 than to play the game well after the public just for the sake of a DRM-free version of the game. The complaints should be directed at GOG because the original intention for BFG was to have GOG provide the keys but GOG themselves were the cause of the delay.
I'm quite sure they would have preferred a choice whether or not to wait.
yes beta players will only download the beta again. We all get DRM free steam codes. You will only use steam as a platform to download the game & you won't need steam after that

well to be fair to gog, chris kelly from big finish stated at 6pm that they were just finishing the final build to go to steam so maybe gog did not have the staff at that time of night. But then again chris kelly didn't mention gog & steam so maybe gog had already told then they could not do all the codes

Betas transform to full game.
Everyone shall receive GOG keys.

Here is the confirmation from GOG:

yes the beta players will have their codes converted to a full game once the game is released, stuff I wanted a steam code because the download from their servers will be better for 15gb

gog has stated everyone can now put down their pitchforks!

My GOG.com beta code also morphed into the actual game and says that it's purchased. :) [EDIT: No it's not!]

Correct, Steamworks CEG is an optional component and it's up to the developer to install it or not. I hope BFG releases a statement specifying this before people start peeing their panties over it.
mine has gone from "I own" to buy now so looks like gog have cleared the beta status, seems like I purchased another code from steam for no reason. Oh well more money for big finish.

Yeah, I have to go to work in 3 hours, which means by the time it's done downloading, maybe I'll get to watch the intro. Grrrrr.

Had to tell myself I've waited since '98 I can wait a few hours longer I guess.
I'm not even sure when I'll play it since life is hectic right now and I want to be in the perfect 'place' to really enjoy this next game in a series that was a very memorable part of my childhood :D So I will let life/time pass me by 'till that day.
