Post Play Remorse
They made the game too good! I spent 2 days hammering through it and I beat it too fast. Especially after a 16 year wait! However, I completely enjoyed playing a brand new Tex again. I just wish I could have had better self restraint and took my time to enjoy it even more. I guess that's what the different endings are for. I recall quite a few things that I didn't encounter during my first playthrough, hopefully I can find em for the next.
In the meantime . . . WHEN'S THE NEXT TEX MURPHY GAME!?

I baven't even started playing yet. Played only the demo.
I am blown away by people who have already blown through the game.
I guess you guys are the computer game equivalent of speed readers. Even the demo took me a week to get through.
It took me close to 6 months to play through Pandora back in 96. Slow and easy is the way to do it.

I blew through it in 12 (non-consecutive) hours. no remorse. I found the ending ("Somewhere I'll find you" path) immensely satisfying. I really feel like if that's how the series ends, I can be happy with that.
Overseer was not only a horrible cliffhanger, but it was also not as good of a game as Pandora and UAKM, less ambitious, and not a real sequel. It wasn't how things should have ended. This was a great game worthy of the legacy and feels like going out on a high note, both narratively and quality-wise. I feel very good about it.

Looking at the game files, Apparently I got what's called the Animus ending. And the files suggest there's actually 4 endings (but 2 a very similar). I wonder what the hell I did wrong lol. (and no I didn't watch them, I just looked at the file names).
I'll be doing a replay of this sometime in the future to get the better endings. Dang it.

I played on casual, and went through it at a good clip (although the only puzzles I skipped were the ones from the demo that I already played and didn't care to again) and it took me about 11.5 hours. It's a pretty big game. Cut scenes and dialog alone are a few hours.Tuco wrote:There was somebody on steam who posted a thread about "beating" the game the same day it was released. Literally a few hours after it was released.
Question to you gunners out there or speedrun game prodigies: are you playing on casual?
I played on Casual, since I was affraid of difficulties, in he end I used help only once due to I was not able to find hook to take symbol from wheel and I spent 45min there to find he solution.
I thinkto find this hook you need quite luck or to be google
I finished the game in 13 hours (according to steam) with my P.I. Inteligence result : Gumshoe
