I caught a snippet about her going into a coma after throat surgery. No offense to anyone aged, but the older you get the harder the recovery can be. Maybe her health just couldn't take the trauma of surgery? How old was she?
I don't know if I really liked her standup humor, but I did like her in Spaceballs.
The very same article bit also mentioned something along the lines of her kids suing the physician performing the surgery. Correct me if I am wrong, but don't doctors go over the possible outcomes of serious surgery with the patient (provided they are cognizant and can clearly understand the possible outcomes)?? I don't know all the facts, but it appears that the family is recklessly pursuing a malpractice suit that probably won't stand in a court. Which makes her passing even more sad due to the public parade by her kids.

Since there are at least 2 independent investigations by authorities, one into her death and another into the clinic where she had her cardiac arrest, I think it would be wise to wait for the results of those before pursuing private litigation.

Sadly true, Chandler. I saw this post earlier today, but had a tough time reconciling Nemoy is gone to post anything. I mean, what can I say? I don't think I could find the right words. I used to watch old Star Trek right after Late Night with david Letterman (back when he had alot of hair!) when I was a kid. Would rewatch them over and over again.
