Hey, Cub. . .is it pronounced "kyoo - base", 'kub - ace", or something different?

While I'm at it. . .would you like to divulge where your username came from? Might be an interesting story.

While I'm at it #2: maybe we could ask others how they chose their interesting usernames. Might be an interesting thread (except for non-creative dimwits like me who use their real names (ooops, the secret's out!)).

I hope I'm not prying.
Right out of Tex Murphy. Fell in love with the whole mystique presented when Tex was working the case for Rook and the stolen bracelet.

It took me a while to try and firgure out what the hell you user name had to do with Tex Murphy... then I put a space in there and it became 'Ema Nymton'... and I was like :"Ahhhhhhh!".

And then fell off my chair because I felt like it.

It had me wondering too. Almost cryptic!

As all good PI's know, "Pay attention. The facts are there if you see them or not."

Thank you for compliment. This site really is a cool collection of antique items that will fit nicely into Rook's Pawn Shop in the years to come.

(In German) Keck - saucily (as in sarcastic in a humorous nature)
(In German) Keck - valor or brave
(Through the German Catholic Church) - ladies' man
(In English) Keck - to vomit

So, these all pretty well describe me anyways. I guess it would be a good username, if I just stopped there. But, I feel obliged to say it's also my last name.

Alright...

"Alex Bark" is fake nickname. My true nickname is "Alexander the Punisher".

About 12 years ago I worked with a guy who had learning difficulties, and with this came a speech impediment. He couldn't say 'Tommo' (as everybody else called me at the time) so called me Tongo instead. He was a bit of a mascot, so everybody started to call me it and it just stuck.

My real name is David, but you'd have to ask my parents about that!
There are two theories to arguing with women. Neither one works.
Good story, tongo.

Alex - I like Alex Bark better than the other one. Glad you use it.

Thanks, Jim. Realy, "Punisher" sounds too cruel. Even for russian.

Hehehe yeah, it does sound a bit cruel Alex... although, I have a russuan friend, her name is Julia and sometimes she can be a very dominant person. We always make fun of her when she is with her boyfriend, imagining her saying: "Kiss me or I crush you!" ...quite the punisher indeed as I have found out too.

Well, ok. My last name is Sowden, and thats how alot of my friends know me as. So, I've been going by that name for ever.

And there goes that story.

Later.

Edit: Oh yeah, and its pronounced "So-den." Alot of people don't know how to say it. I get "Sa-w-den" all the time.

A long time ago, there was a dsicount store around here called Mr. Paul's. The store ran some low-budget commercials on late night TV and some of the black radio stations. Since my first name is Paul, one of my friends started calling me Mr. Paul because he loved Mr. Paul's obnixious commercials.

Eventually, when I got my Ph.D., my same friend started calling me Dr. Paul, and it just sort of stuck.
