The title for this upcoming game from quantic dream (Indigo Prophecy/Fahrenheit) seems as though it's been pulled right out of the comedy, Bowfinger. In the movie, Steve Martin played as a director attempting to make a movie called, "Heavy Rain", about aliens who came down to Earth within the rain, thus making it heavy.
Well, after watching the trailer for quantic dream's upcoming game, I cannot honestly tell you what it's about. I've got no clue. All I know is it looks very, very cool.

I had trouble viewing it on gamespot so I picked it up on youtube.com
It looks pretty impressive, rather creepy really the atmosphere that was built up.
Just analysing the graphics side. I'm not entirely convinced though... Her eyes looked kinda unnatural.... and her lip movements were kinda way too wide. I know thats nitpicking considering things have come along leaps and bounds but I noticed it mainly because this was mostly talking I guess. So yeah I found her face a little creepy (probably fits with the setting though! Actually when I saw the pic on Gamespot... considering all this Da Vinci Code stuff lately, I thought it was the Mona Lisa... and was like "a game where the Mona Lisa is shooting herself, what!?!") But when you weren't so closeup it was more convincing. And the lighting effects were really good. I like also how they used blur etc. to make it seem more realistic.
Some of the things that were a little off, I guess I'm comparing to PS2 CG as opposed to realtime though, so its great we're bridging the gap and once developers get mroe comfy with the hardware and push towards its limits I think all the little distracting niggles will be de-bugged out and we'll be in for an amazing ride. People are touting this as an early demo of PS3s capabilities so I'm sure this is just the start and I'll be looking forward to seeing more.
