Hey Nilo
I've tried doing exactly like you said in the instructions with UAKM in Dosbox, but my game still doesn't run smoothly. The game doesn't run as smoothly as it did when I tried running with VDMSound only + the sound is very sluggish and it doesn't change when I increase or decrease the cycles. I have a Pentium 4 2.4 GHz with 1 GB Ram and a fairly nice enough graphics card.
When I tried only with VDMSound I experienced problems after most cutscenes where the screen would go black and I had to reboot the computer.
So to sum it all up ... things aren't working for me so I can play the game to my satisfaction. I hope you might know what can be done or if I might have done something wrong when setting it all up.
Thanks in advance!

Dosbox is still in VERY early development (pre v1.0) and as such, cannot be expected to run smoothly as most optimizations are done after all emulation code is implemented. So don't expect full framerates in any games designed for anything above a 486 any time soon.
Keep in mind a lot of emulators for older, less complex systems than x86 DOS - like the Sinclair Spectrum for instance, have only been perfected, tuned and optimized for current hardware in recent years. Patience is key. Good things come to those who wait. Try to keep a coo.... blah blah blah. Anyway, you get my drift on this one, netroam?
Incidentally, your system isn't neccesarily cutting edge, either. A fast CPU and plenty of RAM are called for in this case, although I recommend either waiting for the emulator to mature, or get your hands on a DOS- friendly machine to run the game on. There's plenty of second hand hardware out there dirt cheap, providing you have the space for it.
Hope I've made sense. Good luck.

Go to the Config section in the game and change the Window size to 480X360, or smaller. You could also change the Rendering Quality to MED.
Okay:
I fixed my problem with the display driver (just ran it in DOSbox and everything was golden). Now, I've got another two problems:
1. Video and sound in Pandora stutters, and even the game screens take a slow time to move through (in "walk-around" mode).
Specs:
Intel 945GM display hardware
Windows XP OS
Daemon-Tools v.3.47
[email protected] GHZ processor
2. I can't load the six CD images (one for each Pandora disc on to the four Daemon virtual drives...is there some way I can mount more virtual drives in DOS box?
Sorry for being nigh-illiterate about this sort of thing...
