The Black Dahlia opens tomorrow
Today, I launched an old browser that I found on my computer and I noticed a very interesting bookmark that happened to be on it regarding the Black Dahlia murder.
The website is http://blackdahliasolution.org/
The author of the site has apparently spent a great deal of time and effort researching the murder and has quite a bit of information posted on the site. Crime scene photographs, cororner reports, letters, and even several photos of Elizibeth Short while she was alive. Be warned: Some of the crime photos are *quite* gruesome. However, if you are interested in the Black Dahlia case, you will probably find this site to be quite valuable.

Interesting you mention the link. I'll have to check that out. Ever since playing the game the first time through, the Black Dahlia case has been one of my primary interests as a criminologist and investigator.
I picked up a book (the second I've read on the Dahlia murder), by a former LAPD detective, current PI. It's called "Black Dahlia Avenger" by Steve Hodel if anyone else is interested. I'll let you know what I think after I read through it.

I just thought I'd mention that I finished Black Dahlia two nights ago (the 28th). I started on the 17th, so it took me eleven days. Not too bad, at a couple hours a day, but nowhere near Bjyman's 13 hours.
One of the puzzles I always found near impossible was the folding of the invitation. I solved it without a walkthrough or cheat code this time by making a copy out of paper and folding it by hand.

The first book I read was over this past summer, entitled Severed: The True Story Of the Black Dahlia Murder, by John Gilmore. It was an interesting read, mixing what Elizabeth Short's life was like up until her murder along with the police investigation.DrPaul wrote:What was the first Dahlia book you read? Was it the one by James Ellroy (on which the current movie is based?)I picked up a book (the second I've read on the Dahlia murder)
Is your new book written like a novel, or is it more like a 'documentary', so-to-speak?
Steve Hodel's book appears to be more of a documentary. I'll be able to explain more once I actually get to it. (between school reading assignments, and actual casework assignment, I sadly don't get much time for leisure reading anymore) But I'll let everyone know once I get to it.
