'The Masque of the Red Death' goes gold!
Well, seeing as 'going gold' is only a term really used by the gaming industry, I thought it would still be fitting in the Tex Murphy community.
Yes, Cub's film, which I posted about a little while back is finally finished (well, for the moment that is). We are currently in the process of rendering the final video output at the moment and it looks great.
A Special thanks to Matt Heider who has done the music for the film, and done an amazing job I might add! The total running time is just under 15 mins, which is a good length.
Over the next week I will look at getting a version of the film online for everyone to see. Seeing as there will be more room to polish I look forward to comments.
There will probably be more fine tuning to come later on before I submit it to film festivals, as the current finished version meets my assessment deadline... but the film is open to more polishing afterwards. However, the screening of the film is this Friday night, so hopefully it will go off! Plenty of celebratory booze and cigars on standby.
Anyway, just thought I would let everyone know... the editor and I have been cooked up indoors over the past few days, and I just had to tell someone the good news.
Will be in touch!

The issue I forsee with this is; becuase a lot of film festivals have a rule which states that if you have had a public release of the film prior to submission it disqualifies your film from the competition.Andy wrote:Do you mind if we share the feed with others?
Showing the film to people I know upon specific invitation would not cause issues as it is considered a private viewing, but as soon as the film starts to get seen by people outisde of the private groups for which it was intended it becomes public, thus invalidating it.
Hence why I have no intention of releasing it to places like YouTube.
When I show you guys the film I will post it online but you will need a user and pass to access it, something which I will give you all individually. That way, it can remain private.
I only ask that members of this board who watch the film do not distribute it beyond the people here, becuase the internet is known to allow many things to get out of control.
Many thanks! I will get it up soon!

Well I don't mind waiting until after the festival submission, Cub. I think you should just wait until after just to be on the safe side. People are very trustworthy here, certainly, but in some cases anything put on the net can be obtained one way or another. There's no rush so I say don't publish at all on the net until you're ready.
