Neat Discovery

After my posting about Mac adventure games I went poking around and found an application that will let me run old DOS games on my Powerbook. My copy of UAKM is in a box in storage, but I'm going to go get it soon and see if I can't rip the CD's to my drive and try it out that way.

Even if that doesn't work, the old LucasArts games like Indiana Jones & The Fate of Atlantis, The Dig, Maniac Mansion, and Full Throttle will still work.

I thought you guys might be interested if you have Macs. The program's called ScummVM.
No, UAKM will not run with ScummVM, since ScummVM is no emulator, but only a Virtual Machine for selected games - mainly games from LucasArts -, which have to be specifically implemented.

You can see a list of supported games here:

But you can use DosBox, a real MSDOS emulator for all older games, which works really great with UAKM and Pandora:

I stand corrected.

Either way, that's still pretty neat.
