Why is this pic titled Australia?

I have no idea when it comes to music these days... I have up when we hit the year 2000.... in my opinion 95% of modern music is utter crud, to the point where I don't even have the patience to try listening to new bands becuase I am sick of getting disappointed.

Oh well.

I agree on the most part. Plus, there's so many great artists from the past to discover (Led Zepplin, Genesis and David Bowie are just a couple groups i've gotten into within the last couple years), from multiple countries as well(eg. my love for certain japanese rock/metal bands)

and i do apologize if my love of bracketed information makes for the previous paragraph being a hard read :)

Theres alot of classics in the past, but theres good recent bands too. Muse, The Feeling, Polyphonic Spree, Evanescence, Klaxons, The White Stripes are a few.

I have very eclectic tastes though (as long as it sounds good to my ears I dont care if its being played by two elephants on a motorbike riding round and round, while a seal bangs a kipper on the table. Thats a Young Ones tv series reference by the way :D ) so to list everything I like would go on forever and I don't necessarily (if ever) like all of an artist's music either (some I only like 1 album or 1 song. Every bands gonna have some songs that arent your cup of tea or fruit drink) so yeah pointless to list them all.

I do listen to music in foreign languages too (especially Japanese but also listen to Russian, Korean, Chinese, whatever) mostly using online radio. I reccomend trying out a online radio network like Live365.com or some others to try out new music. If you dont like what theyre playing you can always try a different channel or search for a particular genre etc. :)

WOO HOO! Excellent Doc, I was waiting for SOMEONE to get it. I really didn't think it'd be me when this post started. Alright lemme give you the lowdown on my sleuthing.

Having been in the arts since the 4th grade, (a couple moons ago) I have learned to pick up certain influences and styles of many artists. A couple summers ago when I was back in college, I worked in an art gallery and they had a display of high school student's works. I noticed a common theme among them and that is most of the works were inspired by pop culture i.e. music, film, video games etc.

Anyway looking at the picture something seemed very familiar about it despite not having seen it before. Originally I was thinking it was a literary tale or a poem. It sort of reminded me of a tale I heard long ago but could not remember. I was hoping someone would solve it so I could figure out what it was.

Upon review of the picture a 2nd, 3rd, 10th time I realized that most art does not contain words of any kind and realized that they must be lyrics. So yes, once I figured out they were lyrics I did indeed Google them. It took a few tries to get the right combination of key words but I did find it. So I took a shot in the dark, submitted my findings and here we are.

I am kinda glad I did, I probably would have never heard that tune otherwise. However now I have to start a new search to find that tale I have a vague memory of. Hopefully I am not just making it up. I'll update everyone if I ever find it. . . . or lose my sanity trying. Whichever happens first.

Good luck with your search. I'm sure we'll all be interested to hear the story you were thinking of.
There is only one true pioneer in the music business. Well okay, maybe not a pioneer, but a very funny man.

My CDs are basically all Weird Al Yankovich. I love his polkas, and his song parodies.

An artwork based on one of his songs would be ... interesting ... maybe obscene.
I'm not fat ... I'm festively plump.
Woah I like this video much more than the other one.

I prefer the tune too. Maybe because I have a soft spot for stop motion animation. It was the very first type of movie I ever made in the way off year of 1989 when we got a video camera for Xmas. I dunno, enjoy though.
