Been years since I spent hours on the game. Nowadays I run through it in... 40 minutes, thereabouts? Think that's about right. I could probably cut it down to 30 if I really wanted to shave off all the unnecessary time I spend just listening to the music.

Old 8-bit music is great stuff!

Also, bands like Armcannon, Press Play On Tape, The Minibosses and The Advantage play a lot of covers from 8-bit soundtracks.

that's awesome...some of the best music came from Castlevania and "wizards and warriors"

I loved Mega Man and Castlevania... I still have both collections... The only Castlevanias I don't have are the ones for the Gameboys/DS whatever other name it goes by... My son has a DS, so I've thought about getting them, just haven't...

As do I... I just don't play them on an Original NES or Super NES... I have the Combo Unit that plays both types of Cartridges though... So it's still the same game being played...

I couldn't believe how much it costs now, but Metal Marines for Super NES is crazy... 50 bucks on average over on eBay... Glad I still had my copy and it works great too... I had 2 copies actually, but can't find the other, must still be at my parents in the Attic or something packed away...

I so hear you about the Mega Man taking hours before and now it takes less than one... Crazy... Same thing with Mario Brothers, use to have to leave the Nintendo on so you didn't lose your spot, then you have to go to bed and leave it on, go to school leaving it on, just to come home to find your mom has turned it off... NO!!!!!!! I was on Level 8-2, SO CLOSE!!!

Mega Man was awesome, it gave you passwords to get back to your game, then there were the few games like Zelda that actually saved your progress... But most of the time the poor little NES had to be left on 24-7...
