Chris Jones one of special guests at AdventureGamingExpo

Like Cubase and mr_cyberpunk, I'm limited by my location. Being on this island (aka ye olde England) means it'd take a plane trip. I wish we had something like an Adventure Game Expo here in the UK. But conventions here are sparse and usually small affairs compared to the big players in other countries. It's one of the reasons I'd like to visit America, the conventions there for games and anime and so on seem *huge* and varied, not to mention other conventions, I found this the other day which looks cool http://www.roflcon.org (At first I thought ooh Cambridge in UK? Then I noticed it said MA... It gets so confusing with America using the same names sometimes :p ). Japan has a lot of different and huge conventions too and I do plan to try and visit some but at least with America I'd understand everything that was being said. :D

Well have fun guys, say hi from the ones who can't make it! Make sure to come back and tell us how it went.

For anyone who does go, I expect a detailed report of all observations and conversations. I would have considered going was this being held over the summer, but my final semester and work will be back in full swing by the end of August, so that's a no go.

Looks really fun though.

Drinks could be fun. You all talk about driving you ever thought about flying? Plane tickets cant be that bad.
Anyone have an idea as to what the cost of that hotel would be?

Based on the email I just got today, it MAY not be a set in stone deal. My suggestion, buy your tickets now.
Travis....the convention rates for hotels is pretty good, usually a LOT less than walk off the street prices, but there's plenty of other hotels in Atlantic city with a variety of price ranges.

Actually, I see a road trip of Jim and Dr.Paul in Paul's sports car, sharing a hotel room, talking BS about the good old days.....maybe walking on the boardwalk.

BTW Travis, sneaking up on 600. I see you!!!
What isn't set?

I am close to clicking that button 8O

As far as 600 goes. I won't be reaching it. I'm starting a new account.

CLICK IT!!!!!
DO IT!!!!
REPRESENT FOR THE BOARD TRAVIS!!!!!!!!
Come on $99.00 for a chance of a lifetime. Plus a little gas money. And 1 night hotel.

I'll chip in 20 for your gas.
Seriously.
And with my 600th post I announce that I am indeed going to the Adventure Gaming Expo. I would like to thank Dr. Paul and Jen, without you guys, I would still have that 99 dollars. :D haha, but seriously, it should be a lot of fun. Now I have to go through a bunch of adventure games and get myself prepared. It's certainly been quite a while for some of them.

I'm in Baltimore, Maryland... Atlantic City, New Jersey is less than 3 hours away, so there is no sense in me using a Plane...

I do have a question that I can't find an answer to on the website... As Jen said, which is also stated on the Website that this whole thing is "Not Set In Stone", if we do purchase the pass for $99 or the $129 or even the $149, or more than one pass in some cases, will there be a Refund if the Expo is canceled??? Just wondering... Paying $99 isn't a big deal if I get something in return, but if it gets canceled and I don't get my money back, that would kind of upset me... The website doesn't say, even though it says there's a chance that it will be canceled...

Freepizze, glad to see you changed your mind... Hope to see you there...

The mailing list is a little weird too. They dont realize I've already paid.
Payment can sometimes take a couple of days to clear... I wouldn't be too concerned with that, just give them another business day or two, if they still haven't acknowledged payment, then contact someone...

Yeah Baf, should be good times. What we really should have done is asked James to make us "contributers" so that we could have gotten in free as press :D hah
