Yeah, I thought my 1.8 Ghz computer was okay until a couple months ago. Now its gutted and sitting alone in an empty room. Sad, but that's how it goes.

Well, the good news is, I was able to pretty much get the entire system running 1:1. Basically this means that all components are at exactly the same speed and none are faster or slower than the other.

This meant increasing the speed of a few things, namely the mainboard and memory speed, which remained stable. But it also meant keeping the CPU at 3.6 GHz instead of 4.0ghz because I was unable to get a stable enough voltage to the CPU core for some reason.

Anyway, it's actually Cubase... now running at 14.4Ghz. lol

Very nice.

Makes me want to upgrade my AMD 3800 X2 box with it's <cough><cough> "overclocked" :roll: PC3200 (DDR400) memory.

thats some nice handy work there cub.

i upgraded my vid card from a nvida gforce 7600 to a 8600 and wives to a gforce 9600 and i got myself that new samgsumg widescreen lcd 2MS responcetime 1600by 1050 resolution 8000.1 brignhness and so on it looks so damm good .

aspacial playing wow LOL and aloke. my old 19 inch went to the gf and we now have a spare 17 inch
