NEW WEBSITE PROJECT

Hey Everyone!

Thanks for all the replies and interest! I'm really looking forward to doing this. I've always said we have the best, smartest, most loyal and good-looking fans in the world! Again, you prove me right! I think it would great for the community to have a role in the success of future games (in addition to buying them, of course  ).

James has graciously agreed to participate and his qualifications go without saying (so I won't say them). I'll leave it up to him how he taps the rich resources available here in the community.

Just to keep everyone in the loop, next week, I'm going to send James information about the new game and what we'd like the website to do. We'll then probably have a chat or two and put a plan together. I realize that everyone is busy with life and crap like that, but I'm hopeful that we could go online by the end of July.

Thanks again for all your responses!

Aaron
I'm certain everyone will do their best. Not a fan worth his (or her) salt that wouldn't under these conditions.

From just a few of the things I've seen from some of the people in this community, this site they are all going to be working on together should be something else indeed...

Great news!! I can't help but I an sure the people of this community will do a great job. I'm waiting for this new game
Just like the majority of the people on this site, I am about as helpful as a midget in a room with tall shelves when it comes to computer stuff. But, if there is anything, I mean, anything at all that a layman can do from any other aspect, I'm your man! I will help out in anyway I can.

This sounds great. I'll drop you a PM. I don't know how much I can do due to other commitments/lack of free time but lets see. :)

EDIT: I've sent Aaron a PM but if there is someone else (James?) running the project then drop me a PM if you like. I'm a multimedia/graphic designer and illustrator.

I am skilled in html, css, php, and sql. But I see they have got someone already, and that's always good. Does anyone know what is the status of this project? Is there a release date (or year) planned?

Aaron here with a little proposition for anyone who might be interested. First, allow me to explain the situation:
Chris and I are finally ready to go public with details about the game we have in development. As I've mentioned in past posts, it is NOT a new Tex game. However, we believe it is going to be an excellent game and will not disappoint those of you who appreciate good stories in games. We're hopeful that the game will be successful enough to (1) be profitable, (2) merit a sequel or two, and (3) justify the development of a new Tex game.

Yes, I said it.

We're already laying the groundwork for the Tex game. But first things first.

I don't recall how much I've let on already, but this new game is definitely geared toward the casual gamer market. It's a very different kind of game, story and genre than what you've experienced with Tex, but I think the gameplay is going to be fun and the story is as good as anything we've ever done.
We're making good progress on the development and anticipate having an Alpha version by August 1. Around that time, we intend to have a short playable demo available online, as well as a downloadable trailer.

Apologies, I haven't quite woken up yet (mentally speaking). Well that's great news! I am looking forwatd to it! :D
What are the Apologies for??? You asked a Question, I was answering it for you...
If you're apologizing for not reading the full Thread, don't worry about it, once a thread reaches a certain length, unless it seems to be a Heated Discussion, a lot of people only read the last few posts... But normally it is wise to at least read the First Post of the Thread, even if you just skim through the others...
No Harm, No Foul... Hope you like it here and stick around...

Welcome to the Board, I see your only a couple of weeks old... :D The more the Merrier...

Hey everyone, Adaemon here. (I used to be PIinthesky)

We're setting up a Recording/Production/Composition/Arrangement music business and would love to do some unpaid work for the website if there's any Audio stuff that needs doing.

Cheers, Adaemon
