I remember all this. I think this occurred back in around 2000. Yeah, I think we got a little too eager and ticked Mr. Fries off
Back then, I was actually in a Yahoo chatroom and talking to a guy who claimed to work in the Microsoft Games development division. I started talking to him about Tex and he goes:
microsoft guy: oh hang on...isn't that the adventure game that people want produced?
Me: YEAH YEAH!!! You know it? It would be so awesome if you guys worked on it.
Microsoft Guy: you've gotta be kidding? Those games sucked, there's no room on the market for them.
Me: [this is where I start to get a bit silly] Oh man...but it's Tex....with a capital T
Microsoft Games: do you know how many games we're producing each year and how little time we have for crap like that?
Me: But you could make spin-offs from Tex...like Louie's Interactive Recipe CD-ROM Extravagansa!
Microsoft Guy: WTF? That's it, you're blocked!
And that's the last I heard of him. Whether or not he was actually from Microsoft is another story...but it was still very very funny nevertheless. I wish he hadn't have blocked me.
