Well, now that you mentioned it, I will be 63 soon and I am trying to see if I can retire at the end of the year. Course, with the economy as such I will have to continue working part time, but with much better hours and a lot less work. Whew! Thought I would never make it!

Actually Jim, you ain't doing too bad. Remember back in the year zero (literally, a-yuk-yuk!), when a man could reach the bitter old age of 40 and be the most doggedly ancient sumbitch within five hundred miles! You know, back when people cowered in fear from thunderstorms, and threw stones at their own shadows, that sorta thing.

I realize I'm not doing a good job of making you feel any younger right now, but I'm not trying to.

I'm just trying to make you realize that you can (always!) be comfortable with your own age. First off - you made it to this point, and the end ain't in sight. Second - The alternative sucks a lot more
