I remember the Video being of Decent Quality, so I don't know why their shots look grainy...
If it turns out to really be like that, then it must be something they've done when converting everything over to the downloadable file...
Hey Joel, what do you think of the Video Quality???

I have PHANTASMAGORIA & PHANTASMAGORIA! 2 since it got release in 90s. I thought both of these FMV games was AWESOME! Too Bad, I was hoping she'll do a a final PHANTASMAGORIA 3!:(

Actually, for an Interactive Movie, the production is outstanding. You can say what you like about the plot and acting, but the visual quality in some ways surpasses (gulp) Overseer.

I thought the same when I played it... And even though the plot is a little loopy, I think the acting for the most part was pretty good... No worse than a B-Rated Horror Film...
How far have you gotten??? Did you see any Flesh at the end of Day One or is it the Clean Version???
Gog really needs to get Ripper up and running... I never was able to finish that game and I would really love to...

Okay I might get spoilerific on yous here, but it's a game that came out more than 10 years ago, so... y'know. You've had your chance.
What is the problem that people seem to have with the plot of Phantasmagoria 2?
No, seriously. I don't see it. The plot (according to my memory and it's been at least 6-7 years since my last playthrough) seems solid. What's the problem? Did I miss a gaping plot hole?
Please, someone point out the problems they're having. I wanna see if I can either help someone get the plot, or see if someone can help me see the holes the plot's supposed to have.

I know this sounds like a cop out, but I just haven't had time to make it that far

I've been busy with Uni and stuff but I am working toward it. I might see if I can slip in 2 hours a night after study.

I didn't say I had any problems with it, I just said that it was a little loopy, as in being out there a bit...
I enjoyed the game opening to end...
Since this is Joel's first time the rest of my response will be blacked out...
I think some people had issues with the whole "Project Threshold" thing towards the end of the game, the whole other dimensions and whatnot... I also remember people complaining about being a mental patient... Hell I liked the game even more when I found that out... lol
Also I think some people had issues with some of the elements that didn't relate to the main plot of the game, like the S&M chick, some people didn't agree with her character or anything and thought that it just drug out the game more than it needed to...
Granted it has been some years since my last play through of the game, I just might buy it to give myself a refresher...
But all in all, I loved the game, just as much as I did the first one with the woman and her husband in the big house up on the hill... 7 CDs long I believe that one was, I still have both of them in their Original CD Cases, the first one was like a Folder type case, where the 2nd was a Double Thick Jewel case...

Fred,
It got a reputation at the time of its release as being piss poor. I remember it was on several worst of the year lists and game magazine editors at the time turned up their noses at it.
Why? Well, I avoided it at the time as well, but now that I'm playing it, all the criticism is lost on me. I guess it was just fashionable at the time to trash an FMV game.
I remember one really scathing review (PC Gamer maybe?) ripped it apart for being pretentious. Give me a break. That's the last thing the game is.
