Probably because you put a Space in it and everyone just assumed that you were calling him Cub like most of us do... Either that or they just assumed it was a Typo on your part...
Personally I don't recall you using anything other than Cub when addressing him or talking about him... This was the first time I've noticed...

I thought it was a nickname he'd been given, and I was curious about the story behind it. I know Cubase is a brandname for some kinda computery part. It's a something doohickey for the application of stuff!

Funny you should say that, I had Lunch at this Japanese place and I just love Japanese food, I was so stuffed that I didn't eat dinner, had a small snack just a little while ago and will be off to bed shortly...
