Well if we really really want to get technical. In UKAM, it was:

Rook hired Tex to find the bracelet
Francesa hired Tex to find proof of Sal's infidelity at the Golden Gate Hotel in exchange for finding out who mugged him
and yes the Countess hired him for the crystal bird

But in response to the original question. Gordon Fitzpatrick. "He bought him (Tex) a bourbon. The good stuff". I'm sure Tex would have chosen him as his favorite boss. :)

If I may venture a wierd opinion, let's take this a step further.

Besides the aforementioned, Pug indirectly hired Tex - post-motem - to find his killer.

And, by extension, Eddie "wow-wow" Ching "encouraged" Tex to find the Brotherhood of Purity and destroy the Moon Child.

Melting,
I'll try to give a quick summary. AC and CJ did break from Microsoft and went their separate ways at separate companies for a while. They have since come back to form "Big Finish Games" and are producing adventure games again.

They have said that they have secured the Intellectual Property rights to Tex again. You can buy downloadable copies of all 5 Tex games at www.gog.com to play and relive the joys of Tex.

Go to www.bigfinishgames.com to see their latest stuff. The released "3 Cards to Midnight" and plan to release the sequel "3 Cards to Dead Time" in another month.

There are once again plans to make a new Tex game once they've amassed enough money. Probably will be animated and not FMV but we have no definite details on when that will be yet.

That's the quick and dirty summary. I left out the gory details of the epic saga of the many years AC and CJ have been trying to get back to this point.

Wow hey "Jim the Old Guy". Nice to see you again. I haven't been to visit this page in a long while. Nice to see the old usernames are still here. I used to be smk9259 but have since become sam10100.

I'm totally thrilled to hear our beloved "Dynamic Duo" are back in the adventure game business.

Why did you choose nickname instead your real name, Samantha(nice name!)? I was nicknamed as "Alex Bark", but I asked James to return my real name: Alexander.

Well sam10100 is the name I use for my email address so I just try to always use it where ever I go so I don't have problems remembering how to log in to webpages.

Now if I were you, I would have asked to be "Alex the Great" or "Alex King of the Jungle" from that movie Madagascar.

I am touched, Samantha, but I am not "the Great" or "the King". My real nickname is Alexander "The Punisher".

I thought it was a bit odd people welcoming him as a new member when he has been around for a while now.

I only do that on a search & I check to see how old it is before I post,
On a new post i assume the subject is recent.
