Congratulations dude... I bet you are both extremely excited right now and extremely stressed. But just keep thinking of that wedding night, the honeymoon and the smile on your woman's face (and perhaps the tear in her eyes) when you say those words at the alter and you will be just fine I think!

Awh that's such a beautiful and romantic thing to say. I feel warm fuzzies.

Cub that's the most optimistic thing on this thread!

My ex wanted a pre nup. Haven't a clue why, they're not even legal in this country... yet.

But Sam, I always joked when I was younger that my second wedding would be in Vegas - who knows?!? I suspect that will be a renewal of vows at some point in the future. And on this point the Hangover was a great film. Not artistically, but for sheer entertainment I cannot now wait for my stag do. ;-)

Haha.

I loved The Hangover. A totally hilarious movie. Try not to get so blitzed that you end up marrying another woman instead!

If the Simpsons have taught me anything. It's that your wife hates when your second wife comes over to visit.

Oh hey if you are looking for wedding ideas I can tell you what I did. We got married on a cruise ship. We were docked at the port in the United States, invited our friends/family on board for the ceremony and a small reception. Then when it was time for the cruise ship to leave, our family left the boat and we started on our honeymoon cruise. Nice and simple. Wedding and then a quick getaway.

I did try to talk him into a Star Trek themed wedding in Las Vegas but he's not as big a nut as I am so that idea got shot down. :P You could try to petition for a Doctor Who/Torchwood themed wedding in Cardiff.

My next wedding {hopefully my last} will be something different... Can't say for certain at this time what it will be, but it will definitely be something different... Maybe an Under Water Scuba wedding or maybe a Hot Air Balloon wedding... Something different for sure... None of that run of the mill stuff...

Interesting that you mention that. I just read an article yesterday about a couple that were married in a shark tank. If you have that much excitment during the wedding, I'm not sure where you'd go for the honeymoon.

I'd imagine the honeymoon is just a matter of exiting the shark tank, and heading for the shore.

The bride will have the word "Just" on her back, the groom the word "Married." Then they can trail bits of chum behind them and then, land ho!

That'll give breakneck speed a whole new meaning, I can assure you.

We did nearly get married on a cruise ship funnily enough - we booked a 3 day cruise earlier in the year and woke up one day, noticed they were doing a 'non denominational service' and asked if they could marry us at the end of it. Sadly no - you need a captain who is ordained, and they couldn't do it unless we found a vicar.

We did ask about, more out of curiosity than anything else, but didn't find a vicar, so it's the church wedding instead!

No idea on the honeymoon - may book a cruise but it won't be straight after the event - there's not enough time!

America is a lovely Honeymoon place... Well parts of it anyway... lol

You like the whole Cruise and Beach type thing??? Hawaii is wonderful for that...
Though I know what it costs to go to Hawaii and live here, I can't imagine what it would cost to come from afar...

Hawaii was good, but I thought Alaska was more beautiful. It was a 9-hour direct flight from Houston to Honolulu. It would probably take an entire day to get from England to Hawaii.

Trying to think which way he might go... He might lay over in Japan or he might lay over in New York... Probably about the same distance either way for him...

Alaska is beautiful, but I'm not so sure I would recommend it for a Honeymoon, unless of course both people are into the Snow and Mountains and all...

You could always go to Florida and do Disney World... Just don't go between May and October, you're talking massive crowds... I went in November and it was wonderful, didn't wait in line for anything longer than 40 minutes and that was the longest, which wasn't very often...
