Need help please. Stuck in UAKM

I just seemed like such a long time between getting the watch and being able to use it. I agree it did seem to be an odd place for the watch to be found. I guess we could argue that it wasn't really there. The bald eagles must have dropped it there after the Countess left. That's the fun of theorizing about story points.

We do over analyze things as bad as Star Wars fans.

I remembered to get the watch at the Mansion. I'll never forget it because the first time I played this game, it was a devil to find. It's funny, I've always had a pretty good memory but I'm running into things this time I don't remember at all. I remembered the watch but I'd forgotten all about the secret slide out compartment that shows up when you examine it. Well, I'm a lot older and grayer than I was then and brain cells are scarcer than they were then.

What fun to have all the Tex games again! I feel sorry for folks who are too young to know how exciting this game was for us when UAKM first came out. Strong feelings of nostalgia are present but maybe that's a good thing.

I'm singing praises for all the folks at GOG and for all the good folks on this board too.

Just my 2 cents worth: when I open the safe I do NOT enter to get the 3 items (statue, VCR tape, scraps of paper); you can get all 3 without entering and looking down into the wastebasket.
After I get them I hide and then lock the droid in the safe.

The spy-drone game was pretty cool and relatively challenging, but it turned out to be a process of elimination.

The one I really liked was reviving Eva from in the stasis chamber. Sorry to say that I killed her a few times before getting it right.

However, GRS was the biggest challenge when I first played UAKM. I thought it to be quite ingenious. And then came Roswell; another feather in the cap of the game techs at Access. Finally, the security droid in the cell blocks at Alcatraz posed another challenge but once you figured it out it wasn't too bad. Gideon's gallery was super cool.

Gideon's Gallery. That's in Overseer, right? I remember it as very difficult. The last time I played it, quite a few years ago, I learned it was easier for me to use a trackball rather than the standard two button mouse.

I've finished UAKM and getting ready to start Pandora this weekend. Obviously I'm using walkthroughs. Otherwise it would take too long to play the games and I'm in a hurry!

When I get to Overseer, I think I'll make the switch to the trackball before starting the game.

Hey don't feel bad. I've still got all 3 of the Prima walkthrough books that go with the games. They are very handy especially for Pandora so you can stay on the path of your choosing.

The puzzle from Overseer I remember having problems with was that brain puzzle trying to map the neural pathways. It probably wasn't that hard but my eyes had a hard time focusing on a single strand in all that jumble.

I always had problems with the Floor Grid in the Gallery... My first time playing I actually had to come off of Gamer Mode to do the Gallery... Pissed me off... lol

tex murphy is back in town
First, glad to see you finished UAKM. Second, you'll go crazy over Pandora. One of the all-time great adventure games. BTW, I think there is a walk-through available in the download section of this board. It contains info as to how you can attain all 8 endings along with the points possible.

Although I am not very adept at solving adventure game puzzles, Gideon's gallery was a BIG challenge but I was able to figure it out after numerous failures. Also, the brain puzzle was really tough but once I got the pathway figured out it is now quite easy.
