Check it out guys! Seriously!!!

well the game on big fish is doing well, top 100 games No.11 & rising

A interesting review of the game,

There's not much Murder Island: Secrets of Tantalus could do better although the story would have benefited from some live action cinematics instead of the still-frame, graphic novel sequences presently in place. It might have also helped if when collecting tiles, a counter told you the exact number you'd collected so you didn't have to guess.

Despite the absence of cutscenes and post-game extras, the game is a solid entertainment value with around four hours of absorbing, fun gameplay unmarred by frustration or unlikely leaps of logic. With good puzzle design, a modern setting, well-communicated objectives and an interesting storyline complete with a creative surprise twist, Murder Island: Secrets of Tantalus is an island mystery that's well worth solving

I just finished the game. So... that's what a casual game is? You get so many clues you can't get lost, and the puzzles are so easy. The story is Ok and the game is interesting and worth it, of course, buy I will never buy a hidden object game again, unless it's from our guys.

It seems it is doing well, even better than the three cards series, which makes me think: how can anyone prefer this to a clever gameplay and a great elaborated story? I can't understand it, really.

Anyway, I had a good time and that's what matters.
I really thought the 3 Cards idea was innovative. Instead of just being given a list of what to find, you had to decide what that list was.
Plumgas, there was a counter for the tiles on the map/travel screen. It was in the top left corner, was a circle broken into eight parts with a ring around it divided into 12 sections. You unlocked one of the eight pie pieces every 12 tiles you collected, and the outer ring counted clockwise from the top each tile you got, resetting itself each time you unlocked a slice.

The slices were interesting to me because they gave a brief history of the Greek characters referenced in the game. Sadly, I didn't unlock the eighth slice as I had to make a last-minute choice to finish the game missing only one tile or to wait indefinitely to have time to find that last tile & then finish. But it appears that there's about 3 tiles per screen containing tiles, so I know when I play it again to look more closely if I can only find two.

After playing this, I'm so looking forward to Thunder Island and the interactive radio theater.

Just finished playing Murder Island. I had been waiting for it to come to GameHouse.com since I have a membership there.

I found the game very enjoyable. I agree with Jen, I miss "our guys". It was cute that one of the kids was named CJ. :)

The gameplay was good. I liked the hidden object and puzzles. I skipped the key puzzle too. More frustration than it was worth. I found the rest of the puzzles easy.

Those damn tiles were annoying sometimes. I had to cheat by looking up the walkthrough to find all 96 (my goodness that's a lot of extra work). They didn't affect the game play, but I just wanted to see all their bonus content. It was okay but I'm not sure it was worth 96 tiles.

I'd recommend it to others. Worth the play. You can see Aaron, Chris, and Doug's names in the credits, but they do scroll fast!

I bought a copy! Now I shall go play it.

Yeah, that's really all my post is about. *shrugs*

The tiles were a little annoying but I actually found the way the tiles were split up easy.
I beat the game! Like a few days ago. I'm just very lazy. That said, it was pretty good. I had a more enjoyable time playing this game than I did Three Cards to Midnight.

While playing the game I cheated a couple times. The game would be like, "Find a carafe!" and I'd be all like, "What the hell is a carafe?" so I'd google carafe. I googled pot holder, only because I was imagining something that would go under a pot, like a stand. Oh, and I also googled the zodiac sign for February 11th. Google was my cheat sheet.

P.S. Is there a reason why Three Cards to Midnight and Three Cards to Deadtime aren't on Big Fish or Steam? I'm sure they'd sell a few more (copies? downloads?) if they were on a more accessible platform.

Both the 3 Cards games are on Big Fish. They're just buried beneath a whole lot of other games. Last time I checked Murder Island was very prominently displayed. Don't know about Steam.
