The only thing you have to watch out for now is when she gets older she has the perfect place to invite her boyfriends.
Although I am sure you could have a lot of fun scaring them away in the middle of the night, under a full moon (or a Killing Moon, whichever you desire).
You don't happen to have a hockey mask do you?

I work for a security company and we could install a covert camera that can be monitored in the house.

That's a brilliant idea Jim. The word 'covert' alone makes it sound very James Bond like.
Kinda reminds me of this backyard they built for some kids on one of these yard-overhaul type shows here. They built 2 bases, one for the boys and one for the girls. The boy's base was protected by a camera which had a monitor inside the base, and the girls base was protected by mounted water cannons/guns. It was very cool. Kinda made made me look back upon my 'lack-of-treehouse' childhood with bitter dissapointment.

When she gets to that age you can always install one of those annoying lights that switch on whenever you walk within half a mile of it too. You could tell her it's a reading light!

Hey Cub, funny you should mention that. A couple of years ago, I secretly bought one of those expensive scary rubber masks. It was a goul mask and cost about a hundred bucks. Very scary looking.
Then I waited.
One day, my daughter had some friends over and they were playing some games down the basement. Our basement has a finished side (carpeted, paneled, ceiling, etc.) and it also has an unfinished side that we call "The Dark Side". The Dark Side has outdoor access.
While they were playing (on the finished side) I quietly locked the basement door at the top of the stairs. Then I entered the Dark Side from outdoors wearing the mask and scary hand gloves. While on the Dark Side, I started making some noises until the girls noticed that there were strange sounds coming from the Dark Side.
As they crept toward the Dark Side door to investigate, I came through it so the girls could see me. They started screaming their lungs out and ran up the basement stairs. But the door was locked at the top! I started coming up the stairs after them. But I moved slowly and awkwardly so that they could escape past me down the stairs. They ran through the Dark Side and then outside.
It's a good thing they were young or else they would have had heart attacks. They were absolutely terrified.
Thinking back, it was kind of a cruel thing to do. However, that same group was *always* bugging me to play monster with them. When we'd play monster, I'd just get glassy-eyed and walk like a zombie and chase them all over the house. They loved it. So I wanted to give them a monster game they would never forget. But maybe it was a little over the top.
Anyway, I can't wait to try it on a boyfriend in a few years.

Wow!
I laughed out load when I read that! Such a good story. I wish you could have caught that on camera. I am sure she will remember that for a long time, and don't be surprised if she has plans for returning the favour at some stage. Sounds like you guys have a lot of fun which is very admirable.
