Alright, alright.

I'll just skip the drrrrrumroll.

I... have been hired by a company that develop games, to write for them. I had to wait until today to see the contract thingy through, and I've already signed an NDA.

Which basically stops me from giving you any details, but...

I'm now officially writing for a living!! I feel FANTASTIC!!

Thank you :)

And yes, NDA means Non-Disclosure Agreement.

I can, however, disclose that my new employer gave me a game, told me to go home and play through it, and called it "research".

I now work from home, and I get paid to play games and write. Even my close friends are calling me a bastard

I'd be more jealous if I could actually write, but since I know I could never do that job, I am happy for you. :D

Seriously though, what an awesome job.

Does it pay well?

Can you disclose anything, like what company it is?
Or no....

Will you be able to disclose that info eventually?

I am curious what kind of games they are and if it is an A lister company.

I wanna know more =P

I've already told as much as I can so far. But no, it's not Rockstar, Blizzard or Square Enix, if that's what you're wondering

I said they would call me a bastard, I never said they would think me one ;) Subtle distinction, I know. Also, it was meant as a compliment at the time.

On a completely different note, I should ask - Has anyone heard from Jim lately? The Old Guy has been more silent than I could ever remember him to be.

Just getting worried, is all.

he has been around but isn't posting anything. When he has something to say I suppose he will post again.

Since he started this direct selling in coffee he has been fairly busy.
