WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST FEAR IN LIFE

I think everyone gets nervous after they have had a accident or near close. I was a passenger in a car accident years ago & for a long time when travelling in someones car when they breaked I also had my foot on the imaginery break. I feel safe now when I am a passenger but it did take years to get past that.

I've never been seriously injured or lost anyone to a car accident, and am sorry for anyone who has. This said, oddly enough, I have some truly fond memories of accidents and other near crashes. The crashes themselves are of course quite unpleasent. The moment between the loss of control and the crahses however, were always interesting. I was never the driver, and never alone, and it seems that for those few seconds everyone involved truly connects, and never forgets.

Some of my best stories involve being quite lost at sea, on a small boat, at night, during thunderstorms. It's happened 4 times so far, and each was more fun than the last. Terrifying during some crucial minutes, but truly entertaining overall. Again though, never alone. I suspect sharing the event with those present to be the biggest source of joy one can get out of it. It turns a shitty event into a shared adventure.

My fears are profoundly irrational. I hate calling my own house, out of fear that I might pick up the phone on the other side. In the same vein, every once in a while, comming home late at night, I'm worried I might come face to face with myself seated on the sofa. I mistrust large windows at night, worried I might see something that cannot possibly be there (such as someone floating next to a tenth story window).

I think something went wrong when I was manufactured :P
