i presume, the questions of this thread are as follows:
who`s got bigger account?..
who`s already bought some nice place in heaven?..
who`s this board`s main philanthropist?

Just realised my amazon account is UK amazon so do I have open an account with usa amazon
I've been researching a lot for a guide I'm writing that could be useful during the campaign (I'm new to Kickstarter too). From what I've found you can use your Amazon UK account just fine. After you sign up to Kickstarter click "Go to Amazon" and login with your Amazon UK login info. Also if you already have a payment method on your Amazon UK account you should be able to use that.
Though if you have any issues (e.g. it asks for a US address or says the functionality isn't available) let me know.
Its also possible of course to create a US Amazon account if you're in UK too. I have one and ordered things from Amazon US in the past.

No no, my friend - it is simply the fact that I am the Beast's Supervisor
(For those who turned in late, prior to this message I had 999 posts).

Hey, Cub, you think Kickstarter could be the "Strike Back" of Alternative Games?

I think the main overriding thing is the deadline finishing date which makes it "live" vs not "live". If it hasn't reached its goal and the deadline comes everyone who "pledged" is not charged and the Kickstarter closes with no more possibility to donate to it. If it reached its goal in good time people can continue to donate past the goal amount up until the end deadline date. After that it closes and if you e.g. try to click on one of the rewards in the right-hand list to donate it says "Sorry, the project is not live.".
Makes sense, thanks for that

I don't actually have a credit card, just a debit card and my limit with that is way less than I expect to donate to Tex and since they don't take anything until the funding period is over I can't pay to my limit day-by-day. Anyone have an opinion on what I should do?

No way to get a credit card from your bank?
One issue is some non-credit card methods can have fees per use, and for the kind of amount you're talking about even a 4% fee would be high, also some have a max limit similar to your debit card situation. Anyway let me know what country you're based in and I'll have a look at my notes as I've been doing some research about that.

I think you should use cash or whatever you use to buy a bunch of Amazon gift cards. You can get them at some grocery and convenience stores. People also sell them on Ebay.

Does Kickstarter allow you to use multiple cards for a pledge? Just wondering for some guide I was writing.

I suppose someone can just get multiple cards. According to this page it appears that Amazon cards are just kept in one big pile of Amazon credit when you activate them:
http://askville.amazon.com/combine-Amaz ... d=80730475
Yes, there is. There is an option in your account to redeem gift cards/certificates. Just enter both gift card codes there and it should combine both amounts(and leaving a gift card balance on your account).
Also, here's a list of stores that sell Amazon cards:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html?i ... 1000465651
And if the gift cards don't work, perhaps we can cook up some other scheme.
