My sister ruined a Christmas one year when she found our Christmas lists we had given our parents and she read off the items they had check-marked.
I had the 6th Harry Potter book ruined for me by... I think it was Entertainment Weekly. The book had just come out and my wife and I were making plans to read it (we read the books together), but I came across the magazine and was just leafing through when... BAM! The whole climax of the book was right there in a Harry Potter section they had. I wanted to burn the thing right there.
