Some of the guys at Pinkerton Road (Jane Jensen's, pinkertonroadstudios, com) are contributing, planning contribution, some even to the higher tiers (500$) to get the ultimate box set! :)) from Fedora's.

Have you been there? the campaign is officially closed, but you could consider (those who can, of course, and haven't done so allready) contributing to the Paypal campaign they still have open (still trying to reach those 450.000$) ;)

They are a great gang and could really increase our backer numbers - we really should try to consolidate the forums as one big adventure gaming community.

Something we've noticed at the campaign, is that there is still a great deal of confusion around fedora's being DRM free or not and DLC free or not. That's scaring some people of from backing us.. Have you noticed such reactions within the people you contact with?

We have been trying to kill this discussion. There is an update, the new game is DRM free. This should not be an issue, if people are checking the project updates. I am not sure how this can be communicated more clearly.

Kickstarter Update #4 addressed the issue of DRM (it's DRM-free).

Yeah I'm worrying about that too. I've suggested they add some DRM or DLC free badges to the top of the page. And a more detailed reward tier breakdown like Jane Jensen did in the main Kickstarter text. People would also like to know more about the documentary, detective collection and other rewards before raising their pledge so it'd be a useful addition and it'd be a conveneitn place to note that the other $150 tier with DLC was scrapped.

Excellent idea! James could force pop ups of our swimsuit pictures until the forum user donated another $50 to the fund! Let's get on that!

People are overlooking the small "Updates" tab so the DLC/DRM free needs to be added to the main page with a visible graphic badge or in a breakdown of rewards.

This is a backer comment that was added today for example. If this is from a dedicated fan who pledged anyway imagine all the people who simply aren't pledging at all :(
Heya guys, long term fan who brought all your games since the release of Under a Killing Moon. I got into adventure games thanks to monkey island, and before that the Hobbit on the spectrum 48k. After subscribing to Double Fine, Wasteland, Moebius and quite a few other adventures on here, yours was going to be the last one for a while. I had intended on the 50 dollar tier as a long term fan who wants to support these type of games. Reason I will stick to the 15 dollars is simply the 150 tier for DLC. This is a trend that is destroying gaming. I buy the game, I want the complete thing, especially adventures. It ain't reaching point B, it's the journey. As someone whose seen how hard you have fought trying to continue making the games you want to make trying to get Microsoft and co to support you, I hope you succeed. But locking out anyone who can't afford that amount, or who came late to the party is a disapointment to me. Best of luck lads, but surely the complete game should be available for a lot less and all you are doing is making sure that guys like me who would pay more won't.

Someone who just surfed in will go straight for the tier types, not the updates. This is understandable. The reason this keeps happening is because it's stuck there in the text for one of the tiers. It really can't be changed???

Ohhhh it's coming on again AHHHHHhaHAAAAaaaa Image

I really hope they use your idea. I'm going to ask someone at BFG.

Yeah, I"m not sure Chris and Aaron realize that they REALLY REALLY need to revamp the homepage and clean up the tiers (if that is possible). I would send a note, but I'm honestly not sure it's Chris and Aaron answering them all. The two answers I got felt like form responses by someone else. I understand that they're extremely busy, but the homepage seriously needs to address the issues people had if people are STILL complaining about it.

This is why we need to get the message out. This is detering the 15$ pledgers, I feel, this campaign relies on. I dont get it, this issue was dealt with by Chris and Aaroon early in the campaign.

I know... You're totally right. Though I'm hoping two big badges )like the ones I just edited into my post) near the top of the page would catch peoples view as they're going from the pitch to the tiers.

I suppose they've already pleaded with the Kickstarter staff? :(

They did, and that was commendable, but it's not readily apparent to people who are visiting the kickstarter page for the first time. It needs to be said on the homepage, near the top.

Someone suggested calling it Project Fredora, The DRM Directive Free :D

If I'm reading it right in the Kickstarter FAQ, if those 92 people in the old $150 tier moved to the new $150 tier they'd be able to edit it?
Can a project be edited after launching?

Yes, you can edit the following content after launching:

• Rewards (add new ones or edit those not yet backed)
The only things that cannot be edited after launch are:

• The funding goal

• The project deadline

• Rewards that have already been selected by a backer
