Yeah, that's less than 2% per day. And, we've been gaining around 2% a day every day. So, I think we can do it.

We actually only need $8,224 per day to make it. That was calculated as of midnight eastern:

$450,000 - $317,734 = $132,266 remaining / 16 days, 2 hours (time remaining as of midnight last night)

That means we need to hit at least $325,958 today to reach that minimum average. We're only $2,000 off! :)

If we exceed $325,958, this average required will decrease (as it has all but three days out of this entire campaign).

I may have been dating myself with that reference, but at least someone else thought it was amusing. :D

Say Matthew, I don't mean to be a Debby Downer, but did we miss our goal yesterday? By my numbers it was by a bare amount. Did that hurt us any?

We missed our numbers but not by much, about $500. But we look like we're on target to exceed today's target. For every day over target it reduces the next day's target by that little bit more.

I think Chris is right to get the numbers of backers up - the more backers we have, however small their pledge, the more likely that (1) they can spread the word, (2) they can up their pledge if it looks like it needs a boost and (3) the greater their market once the game is produced and hopefully sold to the masses.

Yes, as demonlawyer points out we missed our target by about $470, which isn't so bad. Our daily requirement for today barely went up. Our goal today is $333,750 (rounded up to the nearest $10). At the rate we've been moving, we will definitely get there and exceed that.

As importantly, we have 153 new backers today. We are on course to exceed 200 backers. If we're lucky maybe even more than 250. The podcast (now on iTunes, I noticed) and the reddit thing appear to be helping immensely in this regard.

Edit: I also want to point out, we have only missed our target 4 times out of 17 completed days. That's quite good. Two of those days were less the $500 under. One was about $1,400 and last Saturday was the worst at over $4,000 under. All in all, I'd say we've only had one truly bad day in this entire campaign.
