I think we're entitled to spoilers by now!
So spoilers!
I really, really enjoyed how they played with the mythology. For one thing, I did not see Talia coming at all, despite all the obvious clues.
The Lazarus Pit was just brillantly used. Talia emerging from the Pit, representing Ra's immortality, a tremendous way to ground the series' sorcery into reality, the Nolan way.
Even better was Batman entering the Pit as a broken man, and emerging with renewed vigor, yes, but also a changed man. Again, brilliant way of sending Batman into the Lazarus Pit.
Hell, they know their Batman!
Bringing Rolland Dagget in was another neat little add-on, as they have done with both previous entries.
And Crane was hilarious!
Despite all of this, the story felt a little weak in one sense. It was commandable of them to tackle so much storyline from the mythology, but perhaps they chewed on a tad too much. Much of it felt rushed, as if they had wished for five more hours to discuss everything they wanted, and yet knew it was their last movie.
All in all a great conclusion to this saga. As a teen I've always wanted a Batman movie in the spirit of Batman TAS, and told anyone and everyone that it could be done. Nolan blew the roof on my hopes and expectations!

SPOILERS!
.
.
YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!

.
Saw it on a MASSIVE screen and the sound was so good the seats rumbled when "The Bat" flying machine roared. It was an awesome experience.
I really liked how they handled some of the characters from Batman myhtology in such a subtle way. When the female thief came along I was thinking, is that Catwoman? But wasn't entirely sure until she was wearing the black cat ears at the charity dance thing. She was a fun character at times, like when she was pretending to be scared in that bar! I also caught on that the young cop was likely Robin when he was first chatting with Bruce Wayne about how he knew he was Batman and identified with him. But others I watched it with only got it when he revealed his name at the end.
As with The Dark Knight, they did a great job at making the villain genuinely sinister. It was also pretty touching at parts with Alfred etc. It was an enjoyable rollercoaster ride really.
Before the film started they showed a brief glimpse trailer of an upcoming Superman film by the same director which I didn't know about. I am now intrigued to see his twist on that universe too (no spoilers for that please!).

Really loved the movie.
Fitting Conclusion.
I know catwoman's side kick was in the comics, but for some reason she reminded me of Harley Quinn.
Maybe it was her nutty personality.
Anyway, great movie.
I am making a new thread concerning the Man of Steel Movie. There will be no spoilers for that movie... as there aren't any out there.
No one even knows who the villain will be.

It was fun, but I preferred the Joker. Bane was good, but I guess it was all evil and physical strength where the Joker was all about humour and cunning.
They were all extremely good movies but I really regretted reading the cast list about six months ago - I knew about Talia, which was a real shame. That came as a complete surprise to my wife who gasped when the reveal took place.
Great movie though, and I really hope they don't follow the old franchise and bring Robin back. Batman is good enough on his own.

Isn't this the last Batman film by this director?
MAJOR SPOPILERS:
At the end of this film though it looked like Batman had gone to make a new life for himself and Robin (aka the cop) had gone to the batcave to take up the mantle in protecting the city a different way to being a cop just following procedure.
I think I don't mind the whole Batman and Robin thing personally, though I also agree that they've done well to just have Batman as the big focus and really build on his character. I quite like how differently the Batman and Robin dynamic was handled in this film though, in a subtle way. I think if there ever was another Batman by this director, Robin would probably be in it now he's been introduced but I think it would probably be handled in a different way again.

Love, love, LOVE that gif. Also, it seemed clear to me that Blake(I won't call him Robin because I think it was purely Nolan having fun with his promise to NOT have Robin in his series) was to be taking up the mantle of Batman at the end.

The original Robin's name was Dick Grayson. He took the name Robin from the bird with the same name, being an acrobat all his life, and all.

The way I read it, the new robin was going to skip being robin and just take over as the new batman.
