Countdown to "where's my code I want it now waaaa"
Here's another, Khalaq, on the Big Finish Forums:

The users so far have no reason to be making this up, so it's looking as though the codes are currently being processed.

Paul, can I ask; did you play the Beta demo provided via GOG? Just curious if i'll get a Steam code, I really want the game via Steam.paul wrote:I'm happily eating my words as I read the email with my steam codeI don't know what to do with a steam code since I never used steam (and not really keen to start now) but that is my problem to solve. Do I feel silly now.
As for activating the code, follow these steps:
1. Open Steam
2. Click on the "Library" tab
3. Go to the bottom right of the screen where it reads "+ ADD A GAME"
4. From the small sub-menu, click "Activate A Product on Steam"
5. Follow prompts
6. Prepare and consume a three course meal while watching The Godfather Trilogy to pass time once download commences
That's really kind, dudepaul wrote:I've not played the demo, no. I'm happy to PM you my steam code since I'm not likely to ever use it.

And despite my appreciation of your kindness I will respectfully decline your offer as Steve answered my question:
"Everyone Gets a Steam Key
We had intended on going with GOG keys...but they wouldn't have been able to get them to us in time."

It's in the pm. You can start your download early this way. If you want to you can send me your steam key when you get it but I really wouldn't worry
edit: oops, read your reply too late, just ignore the pm then

Nah, offer declined ahahapaul wrote:It's in the pm. You can start your download early this way. If you want to you can send me your steam key when you get it but I really wouldn't worry
Hold your key, it's just simpler that way. I've deleted the PM and the key hasn't been redeemed. I'm not on my gaming machine at the moment anyway. But seriously, thanks man. It's a very nice gesture.
Good question.sbenrap wrote:No Steam key here yet either (and I'm a beta backer as well).
I'm wondering if anyone can tell me if the Steam key unlocks any of the pre-order goodies (or any other goodies)? If not I'll just pre-order the game and pass the key to a friend.
I would go directly to the BFG forums and ask Steve in one of the threads he's participating in, he's cruising around right now. I'm guessing that if you enter the code BEFORE the game itself is unlocked there is a good chance, but that's not confirmed. I do like the idea of having Pandora accessible via STEAM on the go as all of my systems (PC and MAC) run Steam.

Weird, I know what thread you are talking about but I suddenly can't find it...Joel wrote:Good question.sbenrap wrote:No Steam key here yet either (and I'm a beta backer as well).

Edit: Found it... it was simply not in the Backer forum
Unhappy though they may be i'm sure they'd much rather get access to the game on Day 1 than to play the game well after the public just for the sake of a DRM-free version of the game. The complaints should be directed at GOG because the original intention for BFG was to have GOG provide the keys but GOG themselves were the cause of the delay.Frogacuda wrote:It looks like they're sending out Steam codes only. Indeed... Steve just made it worse too.Frogacuda wrote:It looks like they're sending out Steam codes only. This is going to make the DRM-free advocates extremely mad. Incoming $#it show, look out.
I'm confident they will send GOG codes to those who want them later on, I wish they would have stated that in advance to avoid the coming storm...
