Tex Murphy 1st Birthday Competition WINNERS!

TerranRich wrote:I really don't want to cause people to hate me over this, but Earl your story was pretty good...except for the fact that the tense kept switching (from IS to WAS to IS again). For me, it makes it hard for me to follow a story. But even through that, it was still very good, and I commend you on it. :)

Sorry if I was nitpicking, just pointing it out. :)
Earl? He did the creative works.

As for the nitpicking, have no fear. Mysterious changing tenses is a problem that has plagued me for years. One day I'll get around to beating it down.

Terran,

I think you were referring to someone else! My entry was an audo trailer.

Jen, thanks for the compliment. I was limited to using spoken clips with no music behind them so I could mix in the track from the Pandora soundtrack. It came out pretty good considering what I had to work with.

Earl
Indeed Earl... for some reason, that first line you chose of Mac Malden's was the *perfect* opener to the trailer.

I will post the reunners up and all the winners' entries tommorow.

Cheers,

Okay, here are the runner's up for the Tex Murphy competition:

Short Story:

Runners up goes to Crowley for his story 'Just Payments'. Congratulations!

Creative Works:

Runners up goes to Earl for his Tex Murphy Radio Theatre trailer! Great job!

Trivia Comp:

Both tied for runners up are Greenender and Demonlawyer with 190 points each! Well done!

Seeing as all 3 of the Pandora Directive signed novels have gone, you have a choice of the following:

- Barry Corbin poster signed by Barry himself to the Access boys
- An original copy of Mean Streets for the Commodore 64/128 (a definite collector’s item!)
- 1 of many Pandora Directive audio books narrated by our very own Demonlawyer
- 1 of many Under a Killing Moon and Pandora Directive official unofficial soundtracks

Congratulations to everyone who entered and I will be posting a new thread where you can reach all the entries and have a read/listen!

Also, stay tuned for the return of the caption contest!

Cheers,

-Cub. =o)

P.S. If all the short story entrants interested in their feedback from Aaron Conners, please email me if you have not already to: cubase1 [at] oprusnet.com.au
Hi !

Is the poster of Barry Corbin "Pandora Directive"-related ?
And what is the choosing order ? :)

Greenender
1. I will find out for you.
2. Order is as listed.

If I understand this correctly, it means I get 2nd choice of prizes? If so, my first selection will be the Corbin poster, followed by the Mean Streets game.

Earl
Ths Barry Corbin poster is a publicity poster of Barry with his john handy signed to "The Access Boys".
