Robin Williams....rumoured to be suicide
I couldn't believe it when I first heard it. Though I knew of his bout with depression I never saw it as being so bad at age 63 that he couldn't thwart it. For me Robin was always about finding humour in all the places you'd least expect them, he was an optimist like that. I considered him a role model because of that as I had a bit of depression during my adolescent years too. He was amongst a few others that would keep me laughing no matter what.
Recommendations: Good Morning Vietnam, Mrs. Doubtfire, The Birdcage, Hook, The Fisher King and one of my all time favourites, Dead Poet's Society.

The world losing Robin Williams is nearly unfathomable.
Are you certain about this, Joel?

A very sad situation - saw it on CNN yesterday right after it was announced. Unfortunately, I have some experience with people who have been in Robin's situation, so it's not so much of a surprise to me as I wish it would be. It often seems that people who have a public image that leans toward one extreme or another of human personality are compensating for a private image that leans toward the opposite extreme.
I hope Robin is at peace now.

5 days shy of his 91st birthday. I think most people will remember him for Jurassic Park, but I'll always remember him from Flight Of The Phoenix.

Plumgas, I just hate it when strong realistic women of hollywood die. There aren't alot of them. Anymore, the newer actresses seem so washedup and fragile compared to real women with realistic bodies.

Lauren Bacall was an original. No one looked, sounded, or acted like her. I particularly liked how down to earth she was. I'm just sorry she lost Bogey so young.

Joan Rivers - one of the all-time great comediennes and comedians, for that matter. Loved her brand of humor.
