as for the executive producer... i don`t know much about how it works, but i always thought about "producers" as not only wealthy contributors or generous sponsors, but as people, who actually have an influence on the creation process of the product they "produce"
i.e. help set the tone of the story, polish some characters and promote the idea of what shoes they should wear
Yeah, this is more an honorary thing but, hey, a credit is a credit.

Redcat72, as dcat says (he got there first!) it's the cover I made to the 2005 Tex Murphy calendar.

Wish I had the cash to donate 10,000 or even 5000. Especially after this drastic slowdown on day two... I mean, I'd love to meet them and damn would it be awesome to have a part in a Tex game, even just a walk by the camera sort of thing. Sadly they'll have to live with my meager 750, and even that was pushing it to be honest. I was willing somehow scrape together 1000 but luckily for my bank account, while the ID and comic are cool, they're not signed Fedora cool and that comes at the 750 mark.
I know they're still on pace to get funding, but dammit, I want it to be funded NOW and ending at well over a million by the end so they have plenty to work with.

I'm thinking of taking out a local ad on the project.

what I can't for the life of me understand is why the mainstream press keep bloody ignoring my requests for publicity.. it don't make any sense. This should be bigger than even schafer's game. What the hell.

I've been popping into forums most of the night and leaving a plea for additional help and am happy to have found others that have done the same.

That's not a bad idea... As another similar 'marketing' idea perhaps a bunch of us should try something like
Project Wonderful where you can place ads using a sort of bidding scale. My wife has been doing this with her writing, to get her name out there in places that would be interested in her writing. Maybe something like this for Project Fedora? The ads (at least the ones she's bid on) are fairly cheap and she's been happy at the number of click throughs she's gotten.
Not to mention placing some 'support Project Fedora' stuff on any websites blogs etc. that we have. Sure it may not amount to anything, or to much, but it'd be something right? At least worth a try?
If we were to do either of those, though, we'd need some banner ads. Anyone out there decent with an art program?

Cyberpunk i think one of the reason of the success of double fine project its because it was new. Since we had larry suit, jensen's studio and the guys from Space quest. In my country its a massive réaction 'Too Many projects, sick of kickstarter' i Hope That they Will accept To make more publicity.

I'm pretty handy with GIMP, if I do say so myself.

Just be careful. I know Ryan from Giant Bomb has specifically stated that inundating their emails with requests for coverage has a reverse effect for them, it makes them less likely to cover it. I can't say if that goes for all gaming news sites but it's something to be at least a bit wary of. I do admit that I've sent an email off to Joystiq and Kotaku but neither have seemed to care so far...
Funny since these sites all reported it when Project Fedora was announced. I honestly wonder if the long lead time was a bit of a mistake...

http://www.unofficialtexmurphy.com/mess ... f=1&t=3733 Looks like someone already beat us to the punch. (*Clicks Orthopedic Humor*) I should have expected that and went looking on these forums before opening my big mouth and swallowed my foot. Metaphorically speaking, of course, because actually my feet smell pretty good.

It's actually quite ridiculous regarding the coverage or lack of for the campaign, I just can't fathom it
I mean, this is huge news, yes i know Tex may not have the "Prestige" of other Kickstarter titles, but it is by no means a completely forgotten title, as the fanbase can attest to. Hell AdventureGamers.comdidn't even bother to announce that the campaign had actually started
I must also say as a blogger/Journalist/game site, i would have thought getting lots of different emails from different people would result in an article being written up, not the complete opposite, seems really strange if you ask me.
Ah well, I just want Tex back! And i want to have it out there to as many people possible, because it would be absolutely CRIMINAL if this doesn't get funded.

I just sent an email to the Editor-in-Chief of Game Informer magazine.
